“We visit Salida often, and we enjoyed this location with proximity to bike paths and restaurants. The unit was well equipped for a weekend getaway and had everything we needed. Our dog enjoyed the walking trails right outside our door. Thanks for a great stay!”

“We had a fabulous stay at the riverside airbnb. Can’t beat the location, walkability to town is within minutes, serene back yard, and easy access to the river. The only downside we had was we were unable to use the fire pit when we were there, at no fault of piñon vacation rentals but because the owner requested we did not. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels. Overall was pretty clean but small things like a leaf blower to the back deck and cob web dusting would have elevated the rental. We had a deer friend every night in the neighbors yards and enjoyed sitting out back. The water levels were pretty low but we were able to enjoy playing yard games and floating in to town on our tubes vs throwing the raft in. I would def recommend staying at the riverside Airbnb. Make sure to request a late checkout if you want one before 6pm the night before. The host is very responsive and without asking, let us know we were able to check in early”

“The Tata River cabin hosted by Pinon Vacation was exactly what we needed for our stay. While our time was primarily spent outside of the cabin with spectacular hikes and hot springs visits, it was the perfect location for our plans. Whenever we returned to the cabin, it was quiet, cozy and peaceful with the south Arkansas River right out the door. The kitchen enabled us to bring and prepare all of our meals on-site without spending money or commuting time in search of food. While it was perfect for us, visitors should note that staying in a cabin like this means mildly rustic and somewhat dated charm. We find that appealing - others may not. Additionally, Pinon Vacation provided excellent communication and availability, should we have needed that. For those who aren't familiar with the area, a comprehensive booklet of area activities also was provided.”

“Spacious, comfortable, quiet but not too remote, beautifully designed, with stunning mountain views. We loved this house and had a wonderful stay. Really enjoyed watching the antelope, deer, prairie dogs, chipmunks, and birds out of the many well-positioned windows. Location is less than 10 minutes from town. We are grateful that the owners are willing to share their amazing vacation home. Thank you!”

“This condo is beautiful. It is probably the cleanest short term rental I've ever stayed in. The cocktail lounge next door, the brunch restaurant, and bakery in the same lot were all great amenities. The beds and linens felt lux. I fully recommend and will stay again if I get the chance.”

“Perfect location for those looking rural and perfectly located between Salida and the Great Dunes NP. The included passes for the Joyful Journey hot springs across the highway was absolutely fantastic. The home was immaculate and as advertised. The steam shower was a hit and now she is demanding one in our home, and I’ll say I’m onboard. Spacious property that your dogs will enjoy tracking down those ever elusive and always on guard chirping prairie dogs. Everything was communicated expertly. Would definitely look to stay again on our NP/ Salida/ Monarch trips.”
