“The surroundings are breathtaking, secluded mountain home very serene, inside however, there are no window coverings, which makes it a little uncomfortable when changing especially because we shared the home with another family- blinds would be nice. Also we saw mice running around in the kitchen, we understand in the wilderness this can happen just really grossed us out and made for a restless night. We let the management team know and they said they have the pest control take care of it- mentioning because we had food out on the island and tossed it after seeing the mice.”

“We were disappointed based on the condition of the cabin. The space and number of rooms were nice. We did not have a good experience with the host, but Airbnb support was able to review our case and make it right when the host did not based on our evidence.”

“Place was infested with mice. Droppings everywhere, pillows, bed sheets. Mouse appeared inside on night three. We slept outside 3 nights to escape the vermin. Area under back porch not enclosed so there was a warren of something living and scrabbling around under the deck, Pinon rentals was not cooperative and appears to blame us, although we’ve successfully rented from them twice in the past (different location). Left large gratuity for cleaners which owner appears to have taken from them. Taking tips from cleaners is as low as you can go. Sorry, but this is the only bad review I’ve ever left but this was well deserved.”

“4/5 for location, 2/5 for comfort, amenities, and care. Location is amazing, we love chalk creek and visit often, beware of neighboring property with vicious dogs that may come onto property and terrorize you. Beds, furniture, linens and kitchen provisions are the quality of college dorm at best. Beds that are taco-ing, polyester sheets, minimal pillows. Photos are outdated. Amazing location, but listing doesn’t reflect the current condition of the rental and amenities.”
