Pacific Hale
4.61Visit website
Pacific Hale's guest rating of 4.61 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“This place was comfy and was at a perfect location. Super close to food, beach, and shopping. My only reason for not giving this place a higher review was the bathroom conditions. It is a little outdated but honestly a couple things like a cleaner/ modern shower head and cleaner shower curtain could enhanced the experience so much more. I almost wanted to get down and scrub the tub myself bc I know the cleaning crew could have done better. I loved everything else about this place.”airbnb

“This unit is literally a 2 queen bed hotel room in the Ala Moana Hotel. I almost forgot that I was staying in an Airbnb. You have access to all the same amenities as any other hotel guest; the only difference is that you get no room cleaning, so it's something you maintain on your own. The unit is on the 23rd floor and has a great view of the city and water. The room also comes with some dishes as well as a microwave and fridge. The Ala Moana hotel is a great hotel as well. Super clean and modern. I didn't have any issues with cleanliness, as some reviews describe. Stayed for 6 days, 5 nights, with 4 people, and it was great. Very close to the mall, and the area felt pretty safe. Not too far from downtown either. I recommend.”airbnb

“The place was okay. The balcony lanai looked better in photos but the rug was nasty. Also, the pans were worn out so we reported it to the property management and we’re told they had to speak to the owners. Nothing was done about it. I thought property managers could assist but apparently Pacific Hale does nothing to assist the needs of people staying at their or properties. Also, valet parking is $45 a night. Would not stay here again!”airbnb

“Nice, super clean, basic property. Everything matches the photos except the balcony. Message responses are AI initially, then human. Building staff are great. Parking $50/day 24 hours or on street meters. The only problem was the balcony. It’s wrongly advertised. It isn’t full, it’s juliet and there is a pigeon problem, wire netting covers the entire balcony with pigeon spikes. This does not show in the photos. We specifically messaged in advance to confirm it was a full balcony and were told that it was. We decided to check out a day early to try to salvage the vacation.”airbnb

“I was one of three people staying there. The place was clean and close to the beach. The front entrance is the same as the dive bar and very loud. We arrived 11:00 p.m. and took 1 hour to locate and open the lock box for the key to the elevator. No instructions book for coffee pot and microwave. Bed spring mattress 1970 styles, awful. All furniture needs updated. Bathroom ceiling in shower paint bubbles about to fall down. Chairs for beach were ripped and rotten. I would not stay there again and definitely paid too much. Think twice before booking there.”airbnb

“The stay wasn’t bad but the parking was more expensive through Airbnb instead of the hotel.”airbnb

“This condo is in a good location and easy to get around if being in Honolulu is where you want to be. The unit itself is a little tired and could use some attention. We chose it because we were there to support a family member recovering from a surgery and wanted to make our own food and needed a kitchen. However, the refrigerator is so huge it blocks the oven door from fully opening, making food prep difficult. The pull out sofa was broken and we had to have them send somebody to fix it. The drawers in the beds were full of old clothes that we assumed had been left behind. As we were checking out we made the discovery that the whole time our front door did not lock. All you had to do was give it a little nudge and it would open without using the code at all! We didn't care for the messages we received from the management company promoting area real estate either.”airbnb

“When I checked in, the room wasn’t fully cleaned, but they addressed it quickly, which I appreciated. The rest of the stay was decent. After checkout, however, customer service was very frustrating. I left my passport in the room and contacted them immediately, but communication was slow and inconsistent, with conflicting information from multiple staff members. I eventually had to contact Airbnb support before they found it exactly where I said it was. While I understand it was my mistake, the lack of clear communication and professionalism made the situation unnecessarily stressful. Short stays are fine, but for longer stays, booking directly through the hotel may be a better option for housekeeping and customer service. I was informed it wasn’t anymore expensive just to book directly through the hotel.”airbnb
