“Wonderful place right on the beach!”

“We loved our stay and would definitely be back. The reviews were not very recent, but we took a chance anyway. The view was spectacular and the rental was amazing. The photos that I took matched the liating photos accurately. Though, be mindful that this is a beach house and is going to show signs of the elements. Its a bit dated, but funky beach cute. My only critique is that there is no AC, so can feel hot midday. Plan ahead by opening windows in the morning and blowing fans. The flys are abnoxious and stubborn, so blowing fans was just a luxury to them too and they wouldn't leave, making food prep annoying. The linens had stains on them, but seemed to be clean anyway. I think thats just beach life. Also, the pillows have zero fluff and were just aweful. I would like to stay again and even tried to extend my time. But would have bought pillows to be more comfortable. The private access to the beach was special and the use of beach toys was so wonderful for my kid.”

“The views were amazing. The location is cool. We expected to Sandy Beach and there wasn't one. Also, we expected a newly remodeled place and that must have been some time ago.”

“Views are are as seen in the photos. Great location, steps to the beach, beautiful views & close enough to town. Negatives are the condition of the property, deferred maintenance throughout. The sliding door to the stairs was barely operable, thick dust covered air return, floors weren't clean when we arrived & even the crisper drawer in fridge was completely cracked/broken. AC must have been controlled remotely - it was 80 degrees inside though we had set at 75. Were told by a neighbor there is a remodel planned so owners must have figured "why bother" with maintenance. Worth the $$ for the views but not for the condition of the property.”

“The house is incredibly charming and sweet. The window situation however is an issue. While they're beautiful and antique, there was no communication on how to properly ventilate the home without screens. No information on the screens on the front and back of the home which are there but I had to discover by myself. The bedrooms get very stuffy and warm by the end of day and there are no screens on the windows or AC so if you open the windows bugs fly in. The fans provided were dirty and loud but the host did replace them by the end of the first day. However, an open window in both windows with a screen would have been highly preferred, the same with ventilation in the bathroom. Additionally, they provide a really nice coffee maker and grinder- with NO filters which the coffee maker provides. I live in the area and was not interested buying filters I'd never use again for a 3 day stay, but I did have to go to work every day and needed coffee so I brought my own french press.”

“The house is in an amazing location! A thing to note is that in the description, the house is described as "Newly constructed," which isn't accurate. It's clearly an older home and seems to be someone's prime home when not on Airbnb. The home was fine but for the price I expected more.”

“Only stay here if you need 2BR. There are two nice bedrooms. The other two “bedrooms” are a disaster. The bedroom off the garage feels like a maid’s quarters. There is no central AC in there, no airflow. If you open the small window, you are awoken by the hourly train. The room feels like they walled off a portion of their garage. It is very strange. Host offers a massive loud portable AC when you complain. The fourth bedroom is a loft with no door at the top of some steep steps (bad for kids) and just some sofas that convert to beds. I find it hard to believe it’s allowed to be called a bedroom. Otherwise - great view.”

“The house describes over 4 bedrooms but on the second floor there is only the primary and a small bedroom. Other rooms are in apartments that you have to access outside of the house or through the garage which is not ideal for kids and were so dingy it wouldn't be ideal for adults at all. I made it clear to the host we would love to put down our bags early after a long day of travel but instead they actually were unresponsive for over 1.5 hours past check in time leaving us stranded in a car. The wifi is shaky at best. There is no real AC on the second floor so their maintenance suggested we run the AC on the 1st floor very high and open all of the windows on the second floor which made sleeping challenging in addition to my kids having to share a bed. For the $ we spent it is a very misleading situation!!!!”
