4.68
OwnIn LLC Property Management's guest rating of 4.68 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

Unit was decorated perfectly! It was the cutest place we have stayed with a lot of little details. However, concerns we had put a damper on our stay. The place seemed clean, but the floor left our feet/socks black with dirt. The upstairs loft area was hot and there were no vents which might make sense because apparently, the unit doesn't have air conditioning as the listing and handbook inside stated it did. Both bedrooms had standing fans, one box and one tower. They were noisy and rather old. They did not sufficiently cool the rooms. The upstairs bedroom also did not have a fitted or top sheet under the duvet. It did have a mattress pad, though. After looking around the home, we found another mattress pad that we used for the bottom sheet. The biggest problem we encountered was the lack of communication from Bernie. I would see the posts were being read, but he failed to answer any questions about the AC. We have NEVER been completely ignored before by a host.

Overall it was a solid place to stay. Beds were comfortable enough, it was clean, and near a nice mall for those that want to shop. There were two main things that detracted from it. The first was that it was advertised as having access to a pool except there was no pool key so that we could get into it. When I mentioned it the issue was ignored until after I checked out dispite other communications after the mention. While that may jot be a big deal to all, I wouldn't have booked if I knew I couldn't get into the pool. The other issue was trying to relax at night and watch a show. The TV is right next to the AC unit so whenever it kicked on (and it is neccessary in 100 degree AZ heat) it completely drowned out the TV sound. The TV setup would benefit from an inexpensive soundbar to project the sound into the room to help counter this issue. The built in speakers just don't cut it. The TV issue knocked down my rating a 1/2 star, the inaccessible pool the other 1 1/2.

They advertised the place as a gated community and it is not. As soon as we walked in, we could smell the mold and smoke inside. We found mold all along the master bedroom wall and left immediately.

As I stood facing the door there is a lot going on: A Ring type camera, an old broken doorbell, a gold knocker and a real estate lockbox screwed to the door at eye level and below it by door handle with key insert and a Schlage key lock. Since there isn’t a light by the door, and a second-floor walkway directly above made it short of impossible to notice the numbers on what’s described as a keypad. We spent 10 minutes trying to get the 4-digit lockbox to open which didn’t work. While we were there, we sent a message to Berny asking for help but didn’t hear back so we left until the next morning until being told it was our mistake. We went back and I was finally able to see that there were faint numbers associated with the keypad situated about 4’ from the top of the door. But still only 2-3 of the numbers were easy to see because of a dark plastic over the numbers. I did report that from the parking lot I could see that the TV was on. More lighting needs to be added.

Great stay at Berny’s place in Scottsdale. This is our 3rd year in the same complex and we love the pool, hot tub, great location. We asked for an early check in and were told that he would get back to us and never did. The place could use a few more items like extra blankets, towels, pillows to be a little more homely and comfortable but overall a fantastic stay, and would recommend!

A great location to Scottsdale shopping and restaurants. Unfortunately, very loud construction going on right outside the window we were not told ahead of time about. And very loud at night as it sits right on the road. There were no extra sheets for the pullout bed and no extra toilet paper, so we had to buy extra.

The location was great, and within walking distance to the fashion district. The space itself left more to be desired. It was cleaned well, however the walls had a lot of old wear and tear, the bathrooms do not lock, the bunk beds are creaky and one of them had the ladder secured but the other was not and clanked around, the master bed is not how pictured and is just a plain bed frame, the couch has stains on the cushions, and the lighting is very dim in the dining room area. I had inquired about an early check in months in advance and was told to reach out again the night before, which I did, and was told it would be $20 extra. I agreed and asked when check in time would be and did not get a straight answer, just told that the cleaner was finishing up and they will let me know when done. I reached out again without a response so I popped by around 2pm and saw the cleaner was not there. Overall I wish communication was better because it made for unclear expectations for check in time.

This condo was in a great location and very clean. It is within 5-30 minutes to everything! Comparing stars like a hotel I would give it 3 stars. For three nights stay there was only four towels, two hand towels, and one washcloth. I don’t feel this is sufficient for 2 people for 3 nights. Bed was okay but not super comfortable. There was no soap for the shower, so we used hand soap. Probably would not stay again.

Place is nice close to everything. Needs some updating and unfortunately there was landscaping maintenance the entire time we were there so it was loud early in the mornings for the whole week. Parking was good, pool is nice. Had to buy dish towels and sponges there was none. Kitchen had great assortment of utensils just missing cookie sheet but we made do. All in all good just rated lower due to maintenance and description is luxury condo I did not experience luxury it was basic.

Nice place. Great location. Only issue was bird in house that I had to remove and the air conditioner not being allowed to turn on. Told to turn on fan.
