“The Windjammer is perfectly located in Nags Head - very close to all the restaurants and shops you know and love. The units are pretty outdated - with lots of older furnishings, appliances, and televisions. However, the pool and proximity to the beach cannot be understated. We felt very safe allowing our three children freedom to go to the beach and pool at their leisure. The onsite washer and dryer are coin operated and cost $1.50 each cycle. There are camp style grills available to cook. The steps to the beach over the dunes are pretty steep and we watched several older people struggle. It’s worth the reasonable cost to rent for the week. Towels and linens were provided. Highly recommend bringing your own pillows.”

“Positives: location , right on beach, pool, clean Negatives: place hasn't been updated, furniture cheap, beds just OK , sofa very uncomfortable, no roku or smart tv. I knew it was an older unit, but furniture can be comfortable. we ended up streaming on our PC in the evening.”

“It was a very cute place. There were a few things that could’ve been cleaner, but worth it for the lower price. We spent most of our time on the beach rather than in the home. Additionally, it was easy to find and the host is very responsive!”

“I loved staying here & will probably be back!! The photos do not match the spot but provide a reasonable expectation. The unit itself is near the basketball & pickleball court, meaning it’s about as far from the beach as you can be while at Barrier Island Station, BUT there is tons of parking close to the beach entrance and the drive is only about 2 minutes. One of the stand-out things was the pool & beach side bar! They have everything from chicken tenders to espresso martinis. Points off are for cleanliness, lack of fridge & freezer space, and a balcony door that has no lock. The property is gated and we were on the 3rd floor but nobody loves a lockless door. Bonus points for an extremely comfortable king size bed and sunset views. All-in-all, it’s not the Four Seasons but it’s excellent bang-for-your-buck. Thank you, Nikki and Cindy!!”

“We had a great week at the beach and we loved the beach bar. But because the water was still could everyone hung around at the pool. It was very crowded at all times. About the compount itself it was very unkept. The Condo was clean exept for the bathroom.Very old and the shower had mold stains. The back porch was dirty.”
