“I would not recommend this Airbnb. We had a lot of issues that culminated in an overall poor experience. The drive up is harrowing with narrow roads & limited safety rails. We arrived at 4:30 and the cleaners were still there. They left around 5:30. I’m not sure if it was because they were rushed, but cleaning was subpar. There were balloons scattered around the house, the floor was dirty, there were cobwebs, the dishwasher was dirty/broken, and there was expired food in the pantry. There were basic items missing — no salt & pepper, no nespresso cups. The code given in the checkin instructions was wrong and it took us a while to get in touch with the host to get the correct code. We lost power for about an hour. There was no service, so we had to drive down the mountain to get in touch with anyone. We were getting ready for a wedding, so the timing was bad. Finally, we found mouse droppings under the kitchen sink. The view is beautiful and the house would be nice if better maintained.”

“Convenient location and comfy beds/indoor space. Unfortunately the pool was quite cold even though we requested heating. Also the outdoor speakers did not work and we wasted time trying to connect. The blinds also had issues.”

“House is clean tidy and very picture perfect. The issue is comfort. The house was 89 degrees apron arrival. No big deal open the back door and put on a fan… well no fans and the ac units are put in such a spot they can’t move or they leak water on the wood floor… other then that the kitchen is set up not to cook in , just for looks. Fine by me we went out and ate anyway . I loved this place wish it had some fans and the ac units could move”

“Beautiful property and amazing location. However, the house and amenities need updating, and the management doesn't reflect what Airbnb was founded on — instead of kind, warm hosts, you get distant, unresponsive people who reply late to emails and aren't very helpful. It's a fun place to throw a party for a weekend, but it's not well maintained and management is a nightmare to deal with. The towels smelled, the bathtub was clogged, the Airstream wasn't functioning, and the house overall felt dated.”

“I was very disappointed with my stay at this property with Oraklus Rental. The listing was misleading, and the way the management company handled the situation made the experience even more frustrating. The biggest issue was that the listing stated all bedrooms were on the first floor. I specifically booked this property because I was traveling with my handicapped mother, who cannot climb stairs. When we arrived, we discovered there were no bedrooms on the first floor, making the home unsuitable for our needs. This was a major misrepresentation of the property. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the only problem. The house had a strong unpleasant odor when we arrived. It did not appear to have been cleaned properly. The carpets smelled bad, the bathrooms were dirty, the bed sheets had visible stains, and several towels had black and yellow spots. What disappointed me most was how the management company handled the situation. Instead of taking responsibility for it, they charged me for my stay”

“We were disappointed with our stay, especially given the premium price. The property is located directly on PCH, so there was a significant amount of traffic noise day and night . On top of that, there was ongoing construction immediately outside the bedroom window that began around 6:00 a.m. each morning. This was not disclosed before our arrival and made it very difficult to get a good night's sleep. The A/C was also quite loud and took a long time to cool the unit. The parking situation was inconvenient, particularly with the construction occupying the on-site parking during our stay. Carrying luggage up and down the stairs was another inconvenience that may be worth considering if you have kids or heavy bags. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable, and overall the unit did not feel as clean as we expected. Location is convenient for exploring Malibu and view is alright although nothing to gush about. Overall would not recommend this unit to anyone.”

“The home was nice and stylish, location was decent. We had wanted to get an extention, they sent me the link, but booked with someone else before I could pay. Without any communication. So we had to move with two children and all our luggage. Find other accommodation. Also the home wasn’t clean there were cobwebs in bedroom and pool wasn’t clean. The home was stylish, but does need some TLC.”
