Ohiopyle Vacation Rentals
4.71Visit website
Ohiopyle Vacation Rentals's guest rating of 4.71 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Very rustic place. I think the property needs deep cleaned especially if it sits awhile in between rentals. Hot tub was nice.”airbnb

“Beautiful views and great location! Off the main roads and peaceful. Only 10 minutes from a few different towns and Fallingwater. We enjoyed our stay overall, but did have a few issues. The coffee machine didn’t work and we let the company know on our first night but they didn’t respond nor take any action to rectify the situation. We went into town for coffee, so it was a fine workaround, but it was one extra stop we had to make with toddler in tow! There was also a mouse spotted during our stay, and droppings evidence in the laundry room. They had left traps out, so clearly they are aware and working on it. The curtains were not fully adhered to the wall, but relied on tension rods and magnetic bars. They fell down on one of our dog beds, but luckily I think our dog is okay. Just something to look out for. Overall, loved the location and the views. Would stay again!”airbnb

“Beautiful little tiny home. Gave four stars because the lights in the bedroom didn’t work, and neither did the coffee maker. After our first night we alerted the host about it. They responded 12 hours later but did nothing to remedy the issues. Other than that it was a lovely stay.”airbnb

“This place is not as described and doesn’t match the pictures. It did not feel clean, we could notice spots that weren’t touched, especially the bathroom shower. It is a small door and very moldy inside (stinky). If you plan on cooking maybe bring more kitchen supplies (knife, pan, oil). When opening the door there are many bugs that come in with you. Outside is not maintained and fencing was broken, not ideal for an off leash dog. Host did not respond until the next day about the dirty shower and lack of washer (it WAS pictured and listed). They provided a $50 refund. Overall the expectation of what was listed wasn’t upheld. The area is nice and there are cool things to do near by. Could be good for a one night stay if you don’t plan on cooking or showering. Water in the hot tub seemed clean.”airbnb

“The Airbnb had glass everywhere they claim from a previous guest…doesn’t a maid come to clean before/after every guest? I ended up cutting my foot. They promised a refund and I waited 2 weeks for them to do so with nothing. I contacted Airbnb myself to find out they in fact never processed the refund so I will now have to wait another 2 weeks. Very disappointed in the lies that were told and my hiking trip being ruined. BEWARE IF YOU NEED HELP WITH ANYTHING YOU WILL EITHER WAIT DAYS-WEEKS OR NOTHING AT ALL.”airbnb

“The hot tub and grill are great amenities! However, there were some issues. The table only had one chair. When I asked for a second, I was provided a chair with a seat higher than the table. Additionally, there is no storage and not enough towels were provided.”airbnb

“The space is advertised, and Ohiopyle itself is great. The problem we ran into is that we never received a code to unlock our room. They do have a number to call after hours, but there isn't any cell service in the location. We could have done a wifi call, except that there isn't any public wifi and we had to get the password from someone else staying at the location in order to call. We weren't alone in having this issue - two other parties who arrived after the office closed either had been provided incorrect codes or had not received a code.”airbnb

“Very cute tiny home, pictures made sleeping area appear bigger than it was but that wasn’t a big deal still a queen size bed. We were not informed of the AC not being operational which made sleeping in the top a little hot and hard to sleep.”airbnb

“A substantial quantity of rodent poop was found in the bottom drawer of the sink next to the washer and dryer. Mice traps and poison were left out behind a cubby counter so that they weren’t directly visible, but could be easily access. I feel that they should be required to inform guests if there is poison laid out in order to prevent children or pets accident consuming it. To put it simply this is a safety issue.”airbnb

“We were moved from the “hobbit house” to the “mountain majesty,” and this is what happened. 1. The "mountain majesty" was not cleaned properly. The carpet was eerily and mysteriously damp, the dishes were not cleaned, and the bedding smelled awful. We had to wash and clean with our own cleaning supplies, all of those things. 2. The fireplace was unusable. We reached out and what was offered was a maintenance worker to come look at it. This is so frustrating being that we were on vacation and who wants a stranger interrupting while you're trying to enjoy the already stressful time? 3. The hobbit house was the whole reason we drove almost 10 hours with our dogs. We're huge lord of the rings fans and this change was not only disappointing as mentioned but devastating. We could have rented a house closer to our home if that's all it was to be. 4. The hot tub stopped warming up last night. On out last night here. My husband had to reset the breaker himself after no response from host”airbnb
