“4/5 Stars My experience started off rough due to several issues with the original rental, including maintenance concerns, cleanliness issues, and some items in the unit not functioning properly. The most serious issue was finding a used needle under the couch, which understandably raised concerns for me. That said, once management was made aware of the situation, they responded professionally. Communication remained consistent throughout the process, they relocated me to another property fairly quickly, and the replacement accommodations ended up being a much better fit for my stay. The new location was quiet, comfortable, and well suited for what I needed. I also appreciated that they worked with me directly on a partial refund and stayed engaged until everything was resolved. While the initial experience definitely impacted my stay, I do give credit to the team for making a solid effort to correct the situation and handle it professionally afterward.”

“We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb in Norfolk. This was our second stay here, and once again, it did not disappoint. The home is incredibly quaint, clean, making it feel both comfortable and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The location is truly the highlight. Being right on the beach made everything so convenient and added something special to the entire experience. We were lucky to have a beautiful week of weather, with amazing sunrises each morning and calm, peaceful water along this stretch of beach. It is important to note that this is a true oceanfront cottage, similar in style to a Key West cigar cottage. The space is smaller (especially the bathroom), but that is part of its unique character and charm. If you’re looking for something spacious, this may not be the right fit, but if you appreciate a cozy, distinctive beach experience, it’s perfect!”

“This restored 1020's beach cottage fulfilled our expectations perfectly. Nestled between imposing but tasteful homes we felt totally content and comfortable. Late winter weather didn't promote beach days but nevertheless we enjoyed walks along the shore. The home was comfortable, cozy and all needs amply supplied. The decor was creative and intriguing. Plenty of restaurants and markets in the area and access downtown was a breeze. Finally a lot of interesting and curious ships traversed the horizon providing slowly evolving entertainment.”

“I had a great stay here in the off season. It’s a great location, the best part is definitely being right on the beach. Only put 4 stars because the bathmat and shower curtain needed to be replaced. Bathroom didn’t match the photos with cleanliness. Overall it was a nice and peaceful stay!”

“I was specifically looking for a cottage on the water in a quiet area, in the off season. This little cottage is the perfect place for 1-3 people looking for a casual, private, beach front home. We had 3 adults and 2 small dogs and it was perfect for our needs. This spot is away from the busy and comercialized parts of Virginia Beach, so there’s not a ton of restaurants, but we really enjoyed Big Boss Burritos. Walks on the beach were great and dogs are allowed on the beach during the off season.”
