NW Vacations

NW Vacations's guest rating of 4.71 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

Very hard to locate due to a driveway that was unmarked as well as conflicting policy changes within a week of the reservation have contributed to the score of this Air B&B. NW Vacations / the “Hosts” were not willing to acknowledge that this Air B&B was within 25 miles of a very serious Wildfire where people were fleeing their homes and needed a place to stay. Within the week of the reservation time the policy changed from 24 to 48 hours regarding cancelling and providing a full refund. Then changed to “let Air B&B decide if this meets the criteria to cancel / provide a refund” which could take weeks to decide. Overall the experience communicating with NW Vacations, uncomfortable beds and squeaky doors (every door) was substandard. Would not recommend.

One of the cleanest homes we have stayed in. More expensive that any other home we have rented but was a great size for our little family to have privacy. We understood the public beach access was not on the property but were hoping that we could walk down closer to the water. The back yard is a great size but the pathways lead nowhere. The heat control was not intuitive. Would have been nice to have an actual house manual in the house for these type of directions. The many emails and links were confusing to follow. Fantastic woodwork and tile. We loved the kitchen space and had adequate amount cookware.

The place itself was great, especially for a big group and the outdoor area down by the water was very cool. The check in process could have been smoother. We had to reach out to Airbnb help to get key codes and then were given the wrong key codes. Even after this the locks were finicky.

The house was lovely. Beautiful views from the deck. Very peaceful and remote which we loved. There is nothing in the kitchen in terms of spices - we had to buy basics so be prepared for that. For the price we expected/hoped to have had more basics available and the hosts were slow to respond when we ran out of toilet paper but other than that it was awesome. We’d love to go back

Everything was great and as expected based on photos & reviews. I knew it was a slightly older house, but clean. We loved the deck and the views from the house. Great location, close to Cascade Lake for swimming and hiking and only 10 min drive to Eastsound. My only complaint is check-in and check-out times. 10 AM is early to check-out when on vacation and 4 PM is late to check-in. The cleaner arrived right at 10AM, the house instructions state that laundry is sent offsite. There is no dishwasher, guests are responsible for washing dishes and putting them away and taking out the trash. A 6 hour cleaning window is not accommodating to guests, nor is it needed for this property. While I knew this going into the booking, often times places are flexible. However, no accommodations were made. This was disappointing and made for a rushed Sunday. I would not book again based on this alone. But if you do not care about check-in/check-out times, then it's a great place to stay.

Make sure you ask for the WiFi password before making the trip up to the cabin, they sent me the wrong code and I had to drive about 30 mins down to get service. I spent over an hr 1/2 driving when I didn’t have to because they were not on top of it. Didn’t even apologize either. I also msged them about the fires days before our reservation they reassured us that nothing was happening. Then we find out on our second day that a level 1 evacuation was enforced. To their credit they did reimburse me $300 which I thought was definitely not enough considering the check in experience we had the first night. When they called me about the level 1 evacuation- that was it we packed up our 3month old and our other 4kiddos and headed home. The cabin itself is amazing so cozy and lovely. I would definitely book again but double check the codes and book in months where fires are not a risk.

Great access to downtown. Good views of the lake. However, we had consistent issues with our key card not working for the gated amenities (pool, hot tub) and we had to make several trips back to front desk anytime we wanted to use them. Additionally, the second day we tried to use the hot tub the water heater was clearly broken. The place was ok but outdated and small for the price we paid.

We love this location right on the shores of Lake Chelan. The property is well situated for easy lake access, enjoying sunsets from the terrace as well as a 4-5 minute walk to the heart of downtown Chelan. Plenty of parking and easy to find by car. The unit was a studio set up with good room to maneuver and generally well appointed. Although we weren’t there to watch TV, it’s an older flat screen and quite small and for a few hundred $$$ should be upgraded. We had three problems with our stay: 1) the bed needs a new mattress. Others have written about the bed issue in their reviews. We read and noted the mattress bed problem and elected to stay at the property anyway. The bed is definitely an issue. Again - for a small amount of $$$ - upgrade the mattress. 2) There is no WiFi access placard in the unit. 3) At 3:45 am the second night the fire alarm started going off. It took us 45 minutes to disarm it and remove from ceiling. Management was indifferent.

Unfortunately, we had been eagerly awaiting this trip for our anniversary, to say I was less than impressed is an understatement. The overall experience much left to be desired. For starters, the pricing of the condominium stay rivaled that of a high end resort; the only thing lacking was the top of the line experience. I would have much rather upped the budget a tick for a stay at a proven lodging establishment, than what we were ultimately subjected to. There were no modern appliances, the bathroom rug was dirty/drab, the carpets in the hallway were filthy and weathered. The kicker? We were required to wash our own dishes, empty/take out our garbage across the property, and clear out the fridge. They did in fact have a coffee maker, we were merely too anxious to use it with the fear of it somehow getting damaged and the blame lying squarly on us. To say I will always remember my anniversary is one thing, to say it was for this bad of an experience, is something entirely different.

Pictures are different from what the room looks like. Too expensive for a hotel with bare minimum amenities and bare minimum maintenance.
