Manager Review

Next Stay Vacation Rentals

Next Stay Vacation Rentals's guest rating of 4.71 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Unpleasant smell in the house. The pool had excessive chlorine. You look like dirty doors, bad game air, it doesn't cool enough, dirty house airs too. For the amount that one pays and the photos it shows in the app. It is not, what it seems, they have to improve a lot of things, starting with the airs of the house and the carpet that enters all the water from the air of the house. And the more I said.”

“Good afternoon, not sure if your property is handled through a management company but the house is in poor condition. drywall peeling bad down stairs on ceiling and up stairs had duct tape covering holes. Pool table felt is torn and couldn't use. when i asked about gas grill you stated a charge of $99 dollars. when we went to use the grill tank was empty. not a pleasant visit.”

“It's a nice house, however the fire alarm batteries need to be replaced as one went off every few minutes and I had to keep resetting the main fire alarm system for the home. It was upsetting because no one could get a full night's sleep. The fridge was leaking and a fall hazard which I was extremely concerned about. I sent pictures and they said they would let maintenance know but was never resolved. Also, there was wig hair in the pool and hot tub which was not ours, so the cleaning could of been better too.”

“I rented this (15) bdr home with great expectations. The photos of the exterior and interior looked great. On arrival to the home, entry was flawless. As we entered, we immediately noticed how dirty the (white) doors and (white) walls were. As family started to arrive, we were told about at least (1) door with a broken door knob that fell off(preexisting). The kids mentioned a couple games that did not work but made the best of them. Unfortunately for me, I booked this home believing the entire (3) car garage could be used to park. It was not stated/clear the garage could not be used to park in. This created a negative issue. Only a couple days before my reservation was I made aware by Carl that there was no street parking and vehicles would be towed, although the ad clearly states that there is free street and premises parking. If I’d known this soon after booking, I would have chosen elsewhere. Parking was an extreme issue for such a large home. One of my vehicles was nearly towe”

“The house is amazing and I wanted to give a good review but the A/C didn’t work the entire time we were there. The temp in the house was 80 downstairs and 81 degrees upstairs. This was very much an inconvenience for our stay it felt better outside than inside the house. We had 1 year old child and my mom who is 63 years old. Yes Carl responded to us and in a timely manner but with no resolution to the situation. Very disappointed 4 days and 3 nights with no A/C.”

“The first two nights were great until we decided to go home yesterday to take care of our dog to come back to all of our belongings missing from the Airbnb. Only to find out that they had the house scheduled for cleaning, and then when they were notified that the house was left with our personal belongings. They still set the cleaning crew and to take our items away, even though I checked out was not until the next morning”

“While they were responsive to the requests made, basic amenities were not met. Spider webs and cob webs were visible in the bathrooms and on ceilings. patio furniture had mold and was broken. We woke to a brike AC and water filling the hallway. We used every towel to clean it up and had 2 people slip and fall, and still waited approximately 8 hours for someone to come fix it. But no one came to clean it up. Light fixtures were falling from ceiling. Light bulbs were out and not replaced. Had to request a broom to sweep the floor. New towels, more plates, and broom were requested and it was brought but this should not have had to be made. Check in was 4pm but cleaner didnt leave until 435pm. Garbage was found under chair in one of the bedrooms. House needs maintenance desperately.”

“The place itself wasn’t bad, the issues I had were with the host, the owner of the property and how they neglected to properly handle a situation with the AC, the electricity and the fridge. Day 1 the AC was out, property manager came out she drained the water temporary fix, the AC went back out that same night. The AC didn’t work for 3 days of the stay. Until the property manager finally sent out a professional AC person to fix it. Secondly the electricity went out second day there, I immediately told them and we were out of electricity for more than 6 hours. I was told they were on the phone handling but it had been hours. Then the host became non responsive with no answers. So I end up getting the owners number and he said he was just notified and he was paying the bill. But the host told me hours prior that he was on the phone with them. He wasn’t truthful because the property manager actually told him hours ago so we went an entire day with no electricity. The fridge didn’t work”

“During our stay, the property lacked multiple essential amenities that were advertised as part of the reservation, including: • Reliable hot water for bathing • A functioning gas stove for meal preparation • A functioning dryer These conditions persisted over multiple days despite repeated reports and significantly reduced the value of the accommodations we paid for. Most importantly, the host acknowledged in writing that the gas service interruption resulted from an unpaid gas bill, stating: "We found out the owner did not pay the bill." An offer of access to another property did not provide a suitable substitute for traveling elsewhere for showers, cooking, or other necessities; it disrupted our vacation and reduced the value of the reservation. This was challenging because our group included toddler-aged grandchildren, making access to hot water, meal preparation facilities, and a single family gathering space especially important. I am still working to get a fair refund.”
