Mountain Time Vacation Rentals

“The outside area was nice and we enjoyed relaxing there. The house was good for accommodations for our family. The issues we had were a storm door locked us in because of a malfunctioning lock. We had to call somebody to come fix it. Their response time was not quick so we could not leave due to that being the door with the padlock. The upstairs stays very warm even when you drop the temperature. The light and fan in the downstairs bedroom never worked. Also they need to add a full length mirror somewhere in the house. Overall it’s a nice place and area even with the few issues.”

“The house is very cute and looks just as described in the listing. We were not aware that there were people on the lower level until we got there. Relatively clean it was dusty and the main bathroom was not very clean”

“Home was spacious and the A/C worked well during the 1 mo. stay when CO saw 90-102 deg heat. We were not happy with a number of issues though. When we got there on a Sun, the garbage can outside was completely full. Stacy told us the pickup was on Thu, but we saw neighbors had their cans out the following day, Mon. So we put the can out. Stacy was adamant that pick up was Thu and the house directions said the same. There were no dishcloths, dishtowels, or dish scrubber to use and when I informed her, she said, "I'm so sorry!" but did not offer to supply them. There was only one bathmat for 3 bathrooms. The ice maker didn't work (although Cody, their handyman tried to fix it). No cleaning supplies to keep the house clean for the mo. we were there. Again, I had to ask and go by their office which was a 25 min. drive away. Window tracks were filthy so we couldn't open the windows in AM. The kitchen cab. were a mess- we organized. No where to put our clothes(dresser/cubbies) for the month”

“Best way I can describe this is that the home has a lot of potential but is being mis-managed. 1. Home is "lightly cleaned" - for $500/night I expect the house to have been mopped and for there not to be dog poop in the backyard. 2. Rules are unreasonable - it says "Pet Friendly" but you have to keep your dog on leash in the yard? Also, you aren't allowed to leave your dog at the home alone. 3. Responsiveness of host is only during working hours - I reached out about how dirty the floors were and the dog poop at 4:30PM on our check-in day and was told at 6:02PM that they were closed and would circle back in the morning. 4. Grass in the backyard is completely dead - They need to adjust the water schedules, we were looking forward to using it and it was gross back there Ultimately, we liked the house, but that was despite the poor management. I would not recommend this house to anyone with kids or pets, and I would similarly not recommend any home managed by this company”

“The listing claims lake life, lake access, and a lake view. It does not provide any of these things. The house is across the street from the lake, but only houses on the lake itself have access. In my message chain with the host, she said that there was a private dock. There is no dock nor any access. The house sleeps 12, but there were only 7 chairs in the whole house and 2 barstools. There were only 10 forks. It says that there is children's dinnerware and children's books and toys, but there were no toys or books or dinnerware for the kids inside the house. It claims there are two full baths, but the bathroom for the children didn't have a tub stopper so that they could take a bath. There were no extra towels, so we were doing laundry every day. The touch surfaces of the home were clean, but the vents were filthy, the doors near the handles were dirty, the corners of the floor were not clean, and there was popcorn left over from the last guests under the couch.”

“Do not stay at this house or with this host at Mountain Time vacation rentals. We are locals who needed a place to stay during our move. The house was dirty upon entering, dog hair, left over dog treats in several rooms, orange goo under the trash on the floor and hair in the bathroom. But that's not the worst of it the house is infested with earwig bugs. As a local I know earwigs are not a typical pest and are attracted to moisture. They were constantly in the house at night in our bags, in our dogs food bowl, on the walls, in the shower, & the porch had probably 50 of them at night which means an infestation. The owner even told me that home was 'recently remodeled' which means they didn't mitigate properly. We left early after 3 days due to the bug problem & our kids being freaked out. The host sent a 'technician' to investigate while we left & he even sprayed which is acknowledging a problem. Even with several photos the host refused to refund any of our stay. Horrible company.”

“I forgot clothes there and told them the day after. They said they cleaned and didn’t find them! I told them where to look because I knew where I left them. They said they weren’t cleaning for a few days! I checked back on the 14th and they said they didn’t find them! Either the host took them or they didn’t clean good after us and the other guests after us took my clothes. These are important and expensive custom clothes that had my name on it!”

“The place had a noticeable bad smell when I message the host telling them about the smell, for a one night stay they said they could send cleaners in the morning. That’s not very helpful again when it’s a one night stay. I asked for a refund because the house had such a bad smell that I wouldn’t be able to sleep there for the night. I was told that they refused my refund because it was booked and that prevented another person staying at the home for the night.”

“We had a long term stay planned here while we house hunted. Within the first 24 hours of check in we had a medical appointment where we were told we would need to be at a certain hospital in Denver for a medical emergency. We explained this to the host and she said no refund, no exceptions. We went through Airbnb for a refund exception and the host came back and offered 3 days of a refund on a month long stay. This host offered no sympathy or care for anyone as a human being going through a very tough time in life. The location is very noisy and bleak. The home itself is very loud and echoed everything; not peaceful. The community’s pool is unusable and drained with graffiti going up the stairs to the slide. There is active home construction so be aware of screws going into your tires. Make sure you have no life events if you stay here. The host doesn’t care to hear it or help you out.”

“Worse place and so unsafe and they tried to rip us off! The grill and table was gross with left over meat They cleaned and then said grill was broke Then the second night a water break out front on the block No water that night- they said 100 credit - until I called Airbnb - got a huge refund and left the rental - we checked out 3 days early The water situation was so unsafe the next day - brown I would never use this company The Airbnb supervisor said they would not reply! They are a money maker company! Tried to play me I know better - I work Airbnb Unreal!!! They could have ruined our whole trip with their unprofessional ways Oh and the blinds broke in front area so very unsafe! The lamps had no bulb The kitchen lights flickered!! Worse place!! A water issue is huge I’m going to call the health department as well so they know they are blowing off a huge issue! All they wanted to give me was a credit!! I got a full refund for the second day and they days I booked / left early”
