“Minnestay is in a great location and the place is clean and comfortable. The issue was accessing the property. First, you need to submit a signed agreement, selfie, AND photo ID to begin the check in process, which feels like unneded steps. Second, communication from Minnestay comes via Airbnb, text message, email AND a portal. So figuring out how to find access codes, or other instructions, is overly complicated. It took us 15 minutes to get into the building; there was no one to communicate with except a man with a small dog who said he owned the building and stayed to help us out (but even he was unclear). I felt like I was in an escape room, where I had to do certain tasks to unlock the next entrance clue. Also: parking is provided but make sure to park with hazards on, get your entrance key and parking pass, then park. If you access the garage first, you will have to pay the day rate ($27) to get out even though parking is supposed to be free. WiFi was spotty as well.”

“The apartment was clean and just as shown in the pictures. The only problem was that the rental company was updating their check in procedures, resulting in us receiving multiple codes/directions for checking in. The code for opening the door after hours never worked for us, but fortunately other guests let us in. And then the code for checking out didn't work. The location is terrific and we felt very safe. The apartment is beautiful and was sparklingly clean. I imagine the company will get the check in/out kinks worked out.”

“Nice place but the furniture was cheaper and less comfortable. Nicer pillows please!”

“I had a terrible response from them. I could not get a hold of anyone at any number. I could not check out and none of the codes worked , the door to leave them if the codes didn’t work did not work and again no one answered the phone. I was extremely disappointed”

“Pros: Great value. Great location. Very quiet at night. Free parking. All the amenities you could need. Also super convenient access to bars and cafes right outside the parking structure. Cons: Instructions were a little vague regarding the parking structure (which one, which floor, and etc.), but easy to figure out. Bed and couch weren’t that comfortable, but not terrible. There was a fan running constantly that was a little annoying. The bathroom shower head was very restrictive as well, but got the job done eventually. There aren’t many hotels in this close to the action in north loop, so this is a good option if the location is a top priority.”

“Overall, I had a good stay, but there were a lot of little things that were a bit annoying to deal with. I was told I’d be texted or emailed a code to retrieve the keys. I never received the code. I was able to get the code by calling the number. Most of the cutlery and dishes were smudgy so I had to wash them before using. I only got one toilet paper for a 4 day stay. I called at 8am to order another one and didn’t get it until 5pm that day. It was a nice unit in a good location, but all those little inconveniences did add up.”

“We loved our time here. The house is large and clean with a nice fenced in backyard. The only issue we had was that only 1.5 rolls of toilet paper were provided for an over one week stay. This resulted in a second trip to the store, and I feel that toilet paper should be stocked when paying a considerable amount for a 9 day stay. Otherwise, it was a great experience.”

“How do I loathe thee, let me count the ways: (least problematic to most) 1. The volume on the TV randomly stopped working. I thought my friend muted the TV. no. Just stopped making sound 2. Couldn't charge our phones. friend was on the couch. I was in the kitchen. our phones took HOURS to charge up even a few percent 3. parking - i love that parking is included. where am I supposed to leave my car to go in to figure out the key kiosk to then go move my car? it was easier to pay additional for parking 4. until we realized everything was key fob access 5. except for the front door after 9pm. MinneStay messaged me a special code to get in the front door after hours. could I find it? did I know it existed? no. because 6. they messaged me through text. through email. through Airbnb app. make it easier. this level of security was not helpful. it was annoying. and I would never stay again because it's more difficult than it's worth. would never recommend or stay again”

“The condo was wonderful, clean, and well stocked. What I didn’t like were the logistics of checking in and moving about. Having to park the car in order to pick up and drop off keys. We never were able to make the parking pass work. So sitting at the gate for several tries and then took a ticket. Since we couldn’t enter the building then had to go down the garage elevators to enter thru the front door. Last night the after hours Code was not working. And I had to stand outside after 11pm to reach someone on the emergency line and they were able to give me a new code. I would say that the customer service was really good. Quick response and resolution. The two parking tickets I had to take were validated. But I had to reach out 3 times overall for help. I need to travel to Minneapolis weekly for at least 6 months. I don’t think I would stay in this location again because the hassle is too gre”
