“Amazing space to stay during our first visit to New Buffalo area. The unit was enough space for our group of 4. Fantastic location and easy beach access. We loved walking around, and a quick car drive to downtown and restaurants. Would recommend bringing your own toiletries, a small thing of shampoo and body wash was available. Would come back again!”

“This was probably one of the better AirBnB’s I’ve stayed at in Harbor Country. The location is great and deeded beach access was the selling point. The unit was clean and comfortable and the decor was simple yet cozy. There were a couple wonky things with the unit that could use attention like the mixture of warm and cool lighting, awkward door to the bathroom pulls outward into the main living area, the fridge door should be reversed. The audio on the TV is terrible and the ceiling lights are way too bright. They need to spray for bugs, I killed at least half a dozen. I was also disappointed that the grass was not cut, I would have used the back yard if it wasn’t so long. We found a tick in the bed our first night which we assume either one of us or our dog brought in from the tall grass. All in all it was a good stay, but AirBnBs just always feel like a ripoff. The bathroom and paper products they provided were very low quality.”

“The cottage had a lot of character, was cozy, and the location was great, with easy access to the beach and local attractions. Unfortunately, several issues impacted our stay. The home had a noticeable musty odor, and the overall cleanliness was below expectations. We found cobwebs, dust, dirt, and dead insects on windowsills, as well as debris under beds and furniture, including toys left behind by previous guests. The towels and linens appeared old and some had visible stains. We also felt it was necessary to rewash dishes, glasses, and utensils before using them. The most concerning issue occurred when the gas grill combusted during normal use, causing burns to my partner’s face, neck, and arm. We were told we would receive a follow-up regarding accommodations and resolution options, but never heard back. After waiting several hours, we checked out. The lack of communication and response to a serious safety concern was disappointing and left us feeling our concerns weren’t taken ser”

“We had a wonderful family gathering at this home in Union Pier and appreciated the opportunity to spend time together in such a beautiful location. The house comfortably accommodated our group of 13 adults, and the gathering spaces were ideal for sharing meals, conversations, and quality time together. The bedrooms were spacious, and the beds were comfortable, which everyone appreciated. The property is surrounded by beautiful mature trees, and the short walk to the beach was a real highlight. The location made it easy to relax and really enjoy the area. The coach house provided a nice retreat for some of our group, although it was somewhat musty and the bathroom layout felt somewhat cramped for multiple adults. The main kitchen was functional for our group, though some cabinet repairs would be helpful, and we occasionally had trouble locating switches for certain lights all over house. During a period of very stormy weather, we experienced a couple of roof leaks.”

“A great place for a large family reunion. Kids were always entertained in the game room and adults enjoyed the hot tub.”

“We loved our stay here especially due to the location! It was an easy 10 minute walk to the beach (even with babies and toddlers) in a beautiful wooded neighborhood. The main living space felt smaller in person than in the pictures so it was a little disappointing since we had 8 guests but the basement and bunk room are huge if your crew can take advantage of those spaces. Also the dining table is small considering the house can fit 10 people but can only comfortably sit 6 but there are at least 3 stools at the island and plenty of space to eat at outside tables. Overall though I would book again!”

“host was responsive-upon initial booking, nothing declared about cleaning fee -that was sprung upon us after we paid. I made a comment to host as she stated it was a "glitch" but, it was not in any of her rentals. She took care of it. We asked for early check-in and she told us she could not accommodate it -we were coming off early flight and couldnt check in till 4 PM. When I arrived front desk, said apartment was available so I had to reach out to host again who then let us in, but it felt like they did not want to or provide alternative if Room was ready. We went up to the expensive corner unit, which had an absolutely stunning view, no doubt, but it looked nothing like the photos-total bare bones austerity, needing cosmetic updates -dirty commercial looking couch with horrible plastic cover, completely unlike advertised. For price/photos we could've gotten something cheaper that was more luxurious for sure. Noisy upstairs, neighbor. Zero food or drink on premise. disappointed.”

“Nice location right on the beach. Beautiful view. Kitchen utensils were sparse, and low end quality. 1 paper towel roll, 2 rolls of tp for a week stay. Very minimalistic. The building requires you to wear a bracelet, which screams “TOURIST” when you are out and about. Valet parking is mandatory, so be ready to wait 30 minutes during heavy traffic. There’s only one elevator to reach the room. The other elevator takes you to the parking lot with no open access to room. The wait can be over 15 minutes with large crowds packed into the elevator. Heavy crowds at hotel check-in time. On Saturday night the restaurant on the beach held a DJ led concert with blaring speakers that would have been appropriate for a large stadium. We needed to sleep for an early flight. The noise stopped at midnight. The building’s front desk refused to get involved when we asked them to intervene. We had a decent stay and our business done, but the building was inconvenient for our purpose.”

“The behavior of the manager, Jason, was the most unprofessional I have ever experienced. From the very beginning, the stay felt uncomfortable and tense. Basic amenities such as shampoo and shower gel were not provided, and this was not clearly communicated in advance. On New Year’s Eve, we listened to music after 10 PM. There are no close neighbors nearby except one distant house that appears to belong to the property owners. Despite this, the next day we received a complaint delivered in a rude and threatening manner, including threats of eviction. This completely ruined our family New Year’s celebration. During the stay, it felt like we were being monitored from the neighboring house, especially when using the pool, which created a strong sense of invasion of privacy. We were also unfairly accused of damaging a mounting that was already broken and of abusing the hot tub, which is absurd. They attempted to charge us for replacing the water.
