Mary's Stay

“Sadly, we didn’t love our stay here. The smell of the place was very strong and pretty unbearable. The hosts must have known since there was a febreeze spray on the counter, but it was already empty so we had to resort to buying our own. We also didn’t feel it was very clean. The rug in the bedroom was visibly dirty and felt sticky if you walked barefoot. Most importantly, we were constantly on edge about the safety of the place because the door, although it will lock, will open slightly if pushed. I was never fully convinced it locked properly. I wish I had also been warned about the flights of stairs to get to the unit. We’re moving a lot of our belongings and had we know this was a basement unit, two flights down, we would have reconsidered due to the personal inconvenience. I’m sad to leave such a sour review, but my partner and I were genuinely counting down to end our stay. The hosts were otherwise kind and responsive.”

“Solid and safe place to stay. Super clean and nice neighborhood as well with quiet folk all around. Only complaint was the toilet had to be manually refilled hitting a switch in the tank. Perfect other than that. 100% recommend the space for a single person or couple.”

“The bed was smaller than described with a noisy box spring. The window panels could have been a bit more flexible for more privacy. Also the shower doesn’t stay hot for long so you have to shower within 5 minutes. Also the toilet bowl was hot and at times didn’t flush. overall the place was nice but can use a little more fixing”

“Responsive host. However this is a fourth story walk up and that was not made clear at the beginning. There is a loud portable AC unit in the bedroom that was not properly sealed when I arrived so I had to seal it myself. I booked a mid stay cleaning but they never came to clean the place, I was given a refund so that was appreciated. Many rules after you book that are not clear. They threaten you with a 500$ fine if you turn the AC below 70, which as someone who sleeps at 65 was unpleasant.”

“We loved staying at Mary’s Stay. Everything was clean and the area was good and within distance of good food places, gas stations, and convenience stores. The only thing was that when taking a shower the water got cold quick but other than that everything was great !”

“The place its self was good! You can easily hear the people upstairs and there were a lot of flys/gnats when we first arrived. Other than that, everything was great”

“DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Upon check-in, the house was very dirty the more you started looking. The kitchen is disgusting, all utensils (even the pots and pans) have rust and stains on them, the bedrooms have a mold smell, all of the linen (bed & bathroom) had stains that needed to be cleaned, and there’s water damage throughout the house. All of these problems and they’re only across the street.. they didn’t even want to compensate me and my guests for a late checkout despite reporting these issues and gave us the runaround. Everyone was in perfect health until we left that AirBnb. When we left, everyone got badly sick, I even lost my voice and coughing stuff up. We asked for full compensation and they denied us! This home is unsafe. My pregnant sister was in there and they do not care!!! NEVER book here!!!! EVER!!!!!!”
