“We stayed at this Airbnb with a large group of 30 people. There was definitely enough room for everyone and we did not feel crowded at all. The home having two kitchens was really nice that were fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans etc. The home also had enough bathrooms throughout the home. We really enjoyed the ping-pong table and fire pit. The only downfalls of this property is the steep walk down to the dock. With the walk being this steep once you got down there, you would want to stay put for a while because you won’t be going back-and-forth from the doctor to the house. We ended up driving one of our four-wheel-drive vehicles down the boat ramp and parked closer to the dock so we wouldn’t have to walk. I feel like it would be more beneficial for the property owners to install some stairs versus the inclined pavement. I read some other reviews about the walk down to the dock, but brushed them off. This is definitely something to consider. Overall we enjoyed our stay.”

“Great house for a large group. 2 bathrooms upstairs and 2 downstairs. 2 of the bathrooms are within a bedroom with a king bed. Upstairs bedroom are 1 king bed the other is a full bed and a twin bed. Downstairs bunk room sleeps 6, and the 2 other rooms have king beds. Every room had a tv. Kitchen table seats 10 great for family meals and card games. Make sure you bring soap for shower. Fully fenced in yard on side of house. Beautiful view and a lot of deer sightings in yard. 10 minutes from grocery and other stores. A little over an hour to Mizzou.”

“The house was nice and we left it in great condition — so we were surprised when the host tried to charge us extra after checkout anyway. A few things to know before booking: The listing advertises two pools, but we could only find one community pool requiring a long, steep walk. Swimming in the lake isn't a great alternative — the water was unusually murky even for a lake, and there were a lot of snakes. The dock is nice to hang out on, though. The host asked several probing personal questions after we booked, which felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming — unlike any Airbnb experience we've had before. Most frustrating: after checkout, the host tried to bill us $150 for a locksmith because we "deadbolted the door," even though the checkout instructions explicitly said to lock all exterior doors. We followed the rules, left the house in great shape, and were still penalized. There are plenty of other options in the area — we'd recommend exploring those instead.”
