“A Truly Magical Stay in Afton, Virginia Our stay at Scott and Heather Koehler’s vacation rental in Afton, Virginia, was absolutely wonderful! The home was beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean, and thoughtfully stocked. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare and serve a family meal for 10. We enjoyed the games, TVs, and relaxing outdoor hot tub. The beautiful setting made our stay truly magical, especially seeing the gorgeous horses, peacocks—including the friendly white one—and watching deer and fawns in the backyard. This was more than a vacation rental—it was a peaceful and memorable experience. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back! Wendy and Brent Graveley”

“So glad we selected this cottage for our trip. The home was easy to find and in a great location for the things we had planned while in town. There was ample space for the 4 adults in our trip - the cottage was spotless and very bright. The scenery was stunning - beautiful mountain views in every direction. We opted to stay an extra night and, thankfully, the hosts were able to accommodate us and made the process super easy. Communication with them from the start was very helpful. Great hosts!! We are planning another trip in September and hoping to secure the cottage again.”

It is located in a quiet area but is just a short drive to good restaurants, wineries and both the Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway. We were impressed by the quality of the appliances. “Wow! If you’re looking for a home with a spectacular view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this is the place for you. Home was immaculate and had everything you could possibly need. The hot tub was well maintained and next to the gas fire pit with an incredible view. Loved seeing all the wildlife and the stars at night! A short 25-30 min drive to UVA (Charlottesville) and minutes from Skyline Drive. The movie/media room was also a nice touch! Finally, our host was amazing (literally a life saver!). Can’t wait to visit more of their properties in the area.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Scott's & Heather's rental. The beds and living room furniture were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. We used the grill to cook steaks one afternoon. We will definitely consider this rental next time our travels bring us to Richmond. Next time we will use the hot tub.”

“We stayed for a week and enjoyed it a lot. The view is amazing, and the home is exactly how it appears in the pictures. We also enjoyed seeing the wildlife from the balcony. The owners really thought of everything, and we loved how much care they put into the details. Our favorite was the little speakeasy, which took us a minute to find.”

“We had a fantastic stay! They thought of literally everything, if you forgot something they had it. The hot tub was clean and made the stay extra special. There were games for the kids to play and all the kitchen staples you could need. The house was very clean and felt comfortable immediately. The hosts were extremely responsive and great communicators. The home and surroundings were beautiful. My 5 year old cried when we left because it was “just so perfect and beautiful.” We would 100% stay here again.”

“Great stay here! The setting is beautiful, with an amazing view of the valley below. The house itself is new, well-furnished, and the kitchen is fully equipped. The hot tub was wonderful, and the outdoor seating was a treat. Scott & Heather were great hosts, very responsive, and very proactive. A bad storm on the first night knocked out the HVAC unit, but they made sure it was repaired by the following afternoon, with great communication throughout. We will definitely be back!”
