“We had a large family weekend and enjoyed our stay. The dock, kayaks and lake floats were included in our trip and really added to our experience. Would definitely stay here again.”

“The home is beautiful, spacious, and in an amazing location on Lake Keowee with incredible views. The kitchen is well stocked, and it comfortably accommodated our large group. The biggest issue was the spiders. We’ve never seen so many webs at a rental. The host sent someone to knock them down, but they didn’t spray, so by the next day the webs had returned to the chairs, railings, and doorways. There was also a sewage smell in the backyard whenever someone showered, making the porches difficult to enjoy. The home needs maintenance. We found loose toilets, doors that wouldn’t latch, and a stair railing that failed because it wasn’t properly secured, creating a serious safety concern. Smoke detectors were also extremely sensitive. Amenities were minimal: only two kayaks, one towel per guest, one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, no beach towels, and no spices. Overall, a beautiful home with great views that would benefit from better maintenance and pest control.”

“Amazing stay! We had 4 families in the house and everybody had plenty of room to spread out. Loved the views off the deck and the short walk to the dock! We would definitely return!”

“Overall the stay was fine. Biggest issue is with the downstairs area. The doors are broke, and when we arrived they provided a code but there was no lockbox or any other indication for how to get in. Additionally, the downstairs area is very old and outdated. The furniture, beds, and everything else feels very used. It was also damp and dusty down there. One of our guests had to sleep on the couch upstairs due to this. Upstairs we had little to no complaints. Speaker on the tv is broken and one of the burners on the stove wasn’t working.”

“Living room area had plenry of seating and setup allowed for great conversation. Kitchen was fully stocked and beds were very comfortable. Perfect size for our party of 7”

“We enjoyed our stay very much! Perfect house for a few families to relax and enjoy the lake. The dock and lake access made our stay very fun. The house has large common areas that allowed our group to spend time together inside and outside. Big kitchen for cooking many meals together. We would highly recommend this house!”

“This is a beautiful property with great potential, and we appreciated the peaceful mountain setting. However, there were several issues we wish had been disclosed before booking. The listing advertised six beds, but only five were available upon arrival, which was inconvenient for our group. We also found a note about briars, snakes, and bears—understandable for the area, but something guests should know in advance. There were also safety concerns. Bats in the fireplace made noise throughout our stay, and the basement doors would not lock once opened, raising security issues. Additionally, the dirt driveway could become hazardous in wet conditions. Overall, more transparency would have helped us make a more informed decision.”

“Good location in Keowee Key and close to North Marina for quick stops. Having experienced a lot of VRBOs and AirBnb properties my only suggestion is to provide at least 1 backup toilet paper per bathroom when cleaning leaves a half roll - same for paper towels, and 1 trash bag. Build an extra $10 in rent vs asking a tenant to go out and buy this during their stay. Very inconvenient. Otherwise clean and as described in the listing and nice location.”

“Great location on the lake. Quiet alcove but close to the main waterway if you want to do water sports. The house itself is very comfortable and was very clean. Layout is conducive to large gatherings and for everyone to spread out. Kitchen has all the amenities and is well equipped. The ice machine was a blessing. Beds are very comfortable and we plan to rebook at this property. A note to future guests: There is a neighborhood dog that will stay on the deck for the duration of your visit. Very friendly and her name is Willow. Bring chairs for the dock and beach towels as none are provided. Each guest is given one bath towel so if you like two, as I do, bring extras. The kitchen provides only salt and pepper. If you plan to make seasoned meals, bring your spices. There are a few floaties available but for a party of 13, like we were, the lake accoutrements are few. If you’re looking for a fantastic house on a great part of the lake that can accommodate a large group, then book.”
