“This home was wonderfully laid out and was roomier than we expected. We traveled with our teens, adult children, and one grandchild. Needing to provide our own towels was a bit of a challenge, as 6 of our group flew in and didn't have space in their luggage to pack linens. The kitchen is very well equipped, and there were a couple of extra bikes available for our use. All in all, this home made for a very relaxing beach weekend! Thank you, Sherry!”airbnb

“Beautiful home, great location, spectacular views, and home was well furnished. Lighthouse, horses and many birds visible from decks. Snacks and basics (dishwashing liquid, soap, etc) were a plus. Bed was very comfortable. We felt right at home and would love to come again. Thank you.”airbnb

“We enjoyed our stay overall and the apartment was in a wonderful location on the island. It was convenient, comfortable, and had everything we needed during our trip. The host was also very responsive when there was an issue with check-in, which we appreciated. I just wanted to point out that check out time is 10 am as I didn't notice that when I was reserving. Overall, the location and apartment itself are wonderful, and we appreciated the host’s communication and willingness to help when problems came up.”airbnb

“This house was great: clean, very well appointed, comfortable, well located, and with a terrific host. In fact, we’ve already booked a second stay, it was that good.”airbnb

“This space was a beautiful and convenient space for our family weekend. The open layout was perfect for the 5 under 5 year olds we had with us. Pristine bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchen. Great communication with the host throughout the stay. The views are breathtaking and a spacious deck to enjoy them from . Would happily return”airbnb

“Sherrys home, Lighthouse View, was wonderful! Celebrating a birthday and 40 yr Anniversary, we were not disappointed, it was just as described, beautiful location! We thought we were lucky to be there during full moon, so the lighthouse view was exceptionally beautiful at night too! BUT we were even luckier to be treated to a special opening of the lighthouse the morning we left, and after almost 50 years of visiting Chincoteague we finally were in the right place right time to do that! During our stay we also biked around the refuge, enjoyed dinner at home (and out :), had an awesome boat cruise with Captain Dan too! Highly recommend Sherrys Lighthouse View!”airbnb

“Loved the location on the water, looking out over the marsh at Assateague Island and the lighthouse, and the deck and indoor porch areas provided perfect places to sit and watch the wildlife. It was also very private and quiet. House was comfy and clean and kitchen was stocked with dishes and cookware so we had no problem making meals at home. I found it weird that we had to bring our own towels, and request linens, but maybe this is a normal thing for rentals in this area? Thankfully, Sherry was very good about making sure I was aware of that policy.”airbnb

“We were very pleased with our stay at Sherry’s place. There was some confusion on the check-in/check-out times due to some changes, but Sherry was very gracious and worked with us on the times. The house is BEAUTIFUL and we were really pleased that we picked it for our family vacation.”airbnb

“This is a beautiful property -- just like the photos and description. Wonderful views over the marsh across to the lighthouse and wildlife refuge. Bring binoculars if you have them and enjoy birdwatching. You may even see the ponies if they are on that side of the refuge. It is a short drive to the wildlife refuge, which has a number of interesting and easy nature walks. Next time we may bring our bikes as the Chincoteague seems very bikeable and there are bike trails in the wildlife refuge. Coffee bar is great and there are a variety of board games. Beds were very comfortable. Host provides excellent communication and property was clean. Great spot for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.”airbnb
