“Buyer beware I would not return A/C unit is new but too small for house size Check in temp over 82 on main level and did not reach 76 until next day. Very unpleasant experience for an 80yo & family Never during entire week did temp go below 74 Host mentioned units had to be all on same setting (Cool auto fan 72, double checked by maintenance) NO USER ERROR POSSIBLE Alas 74 at night and warmer during the day was it. If you like a cool house I would definitely skip Listing said dishwasher but there was none One of the tv was not functioning (this was addressed next day) Couch had a hole on the armrest (about 4in) Broke fridge door Stuff & clutter everywhere and hard to find space for your things, lots of dressers with no storage for clothing Bedding too hard Ant infestation looks like it is ongoing since 2023 per reviews Some electrical outlets do not work Dangerous bottom step on spiral stairs House is located on a beautiful bay front neighborhood”airbnb

“I rarely write a negative review, but feel it’s important to share the issues we encountered. *The upstairs bedroom had 2 gaps in the AC unit that allowed mosquitoes inside as well as no curtains/shade on windows. Also, the bed is too big for the room making it hard to close the door. *The stairs going upstairs are extremely steep for small children or seniors (or small dogs). *The side fenced yard is now a patio with only strips of grass on the sides, which is different from the picture on the listing. Disappointing for our dogs. *AC unit next to trundle bed had a dirty black filter exposed. Also, there is no door in the sunroom with trundle for privacy. *The kitchen does not have a dishwasher and not fully stocked. *Across from screened porch they are bulldozing the land (noise and dirt flying.) *As a previous review mentioned, the interior doors didn’t close properly unless locked.”airbnb

“The house has great potential. Published address wrong. Check in times weren’t correct. Screens on porches torn. Overgrown yard. Screen door cut us twice. Dirty dishes. Cobwebs. Dock smaller than shown and lopsided. Bugs came out of blender. Coffee maker leaked. Beds smaller than described. Stains on most of comforters. Fleas found. Grill not as described in messages. Some ceiling fans not working. Lighting in house dim. Lots of bulbs out. Screen porch light is really cheap and run by extension cord.”airbnb

“The first floor was filthy. We walked in to a strong damp, musty odor that never aired out. The kitchen was disgusting -- sand on the floor; food bits and crumbs on the dining cushions and under the dining table; obviously unwashed (dirty, greasy, with large food bits stuck on) dishes -- plates, pots/pans, silverware -- neatly stored in the cabinets. We spent a good bit of time cleaning before it was usable. We complained to Sherry, but got no acknowledgment much less apology. Only one outlet in the kitchen was working, which meant having to move around appliances to use them. Again, we reported it to Sherry to no avail. After booking, we were asked repeatedly which beds we would use, as they would only provide those linens. We got a full-size fitted sheet for the Queen bed and polyester sheets for the Twin beds, which were extremely uncomfortable. "Towels provided upon request" turned out to be so cheap that one tore during normal use. Zero apology or remedy. Upstairs was fine.”airbnb

“The location is beautiful and peaceful. The house is beautifully decorated. There were two things that I did not like. The toilet bowls need to be scrubbed. After four hours on the road and checking at 4, the last thing that I wanted to do was make up beds! These two aspects are what prevented me from giving a five star rating.”airbnb

“When I was planning this vacation, I was specifically looking for a home with kayaks as part of the rental, as this was one of my children’s wishes. This home was described as a home on a canal with kayaks. The description specifically stated 2 kayaks were provided as part of the rental. There were pictures of kayaks. So, I very intentionally rented this home because of those descriptions. When we got there, we found the kayaks locked up with a sign that said not for guests’ use. I immediately asked Sherry about this and even sent a screen shot of the description. She never responded to me. I did notice the next day, however, that she went onto the Air BnB site and erased all mentions and photos of the kayaks. To me, this was really unprofessional. Not even an apology or an attempted explanation. So, was the house clean and comfortable? Yes. Can I recommend renting from Sherry? No, I cannot.”airbnb

“The house was the perfect size for us. The location was private at the end of a cud de sac with a great place to see the sunrise from the screened deck and watch all the beautiful wild life in the marsh while sitting on the front balcony. We used our kayaks and paddle boards at a nearby boat launch a few block from the house. We all had bikes and rode all around town exploring the area, shopping, and eating at the local restaurants. It was a bit far to ride to the beach on our bikes with all our stuff but by car, it was an easy drive.”airbnb
