Manager Review

Hospitium

Hospitium's guest rating of 4.68 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

The house and location was good needs some maintenance to save the owner so money from continuously running water in toilets and hot water even in the cold faucet and the out side hoe. But the management company doesn't address issues. Towels are shabby ripped and the sheets on the beds have holes the cleaner should be replaced. The house was cleaner when we left than when we arrived.

Nice place, very expensive. Dirt access road but close to I-90.

If I had known we had to run a noisy generator to run a/c microwave, tv, all ac outlets,I probably would not had reserved it.

This place was very cute and I loved the aesthetic, but there are two downfalls. 1. if you go during hot summer months, the a.c does not work upstairs and it's like a sauna. 2. if you bring more than one large vehicle with a longer trailer attached, good luck finding parking. there is the driveway (which is too steep to back a trailer into, don't worry, we tried) and you can park directly in front of the house. you CAN NOT park in the church parking lot next to you. We parked 1 of our 3 trucks with trailers and we got told to move. Other than those two things, it's a very nice place. We fit 8 people and 4 dogs with ease. The backyard does look fenced in from the pictures, but it is not, so also keep that in mind. It is a great place to stay to be able to walk to a lot of different places to eat as well.

The home was spacious. I haven't ever had to give a negative review, but, unfortunately, we had several issues. Upon arrival, the outside trash bin was overflowing and had a strong odor. The initial walk through was disappointing: the coffeemaker and grill were dirty, floors weren't clean, washer was filthy, screen door track was damaged and unusable, fence gate latch was broken requiring us to rig it to keep it from swinging. There were not enough blnkts/pllws; the queen beds were comfortable, but the bunk bed mattresses were very thin and the frames creaked with any movement, making them suitable only for young children; there were no hygiene items provided in the showers, and the items we located in the cabinets were almost empty. While I appreciated that the host responded quickly to our messages and provided the explaination that the cleaner had a tight schedule due to a late checkout, the property should have been in much better condition given the amount paid.

The home itself is very beautiful and has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, cleanliness was an issue upon arrival, as several areas did not appear to have been thoroughly cleaned. Additionally, outdoor maintenance had not been completed, though we understand weather can impact this. Communication regarding checkout expectations, particularly around the hot tub, was stressful given the extreme weather conditions during our stay. With improved cleaning standards and clearer, more understanding communication, this could be a much better guest experience. The home was quiet and very beautiful despite the cleanliness

Positives: location, hot tub, house set up for groups. The cleanliness of this house was extremely disappointing. Right after arriving, we saw that one of the toilets was disgusting. Almost completely brown and had a crusted wad of toilet paper. It 100% had not been cleaned or looked inside of from the previous guests. We also had to go to the store our first morning as they only provided a half-used roll of TP in each bathroom. We found all the towels in the dryer upon arrival. One of the checkout duties is to wash towels and you can leave them in the dryer when leaving. I don’t mind helping before leaving, but I don’t think it’s appropriate that you have to trust that random strangers staying before you actually washed them properly. Having them sitting in the dryer upon arrival, from what I can only assume was the load the last guest put in, raises the question if any bedding was actually washed. Other things: a lot of bugs, algae in the coffee maker, brown water when shower started
