“Luxurious and peaceful spot with both a lot of character and a modern feel. Had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend”airbnb

“I have never written a review in my life, but I really need people to hear about this cabin and company itself. The place is small and not private at all. The owner of the cabin can see through your windows from his house. The cabin lost power the first night we were there. My food spoiled because the fridge was not working, no hot water and no air conditioner. There is no cell phone signal, you need the Wifi in order to communicate. When the power went out, we had to drive 20 min to the nearest town. We called and costumer service was horrible. We had to booked a hotel in the nearest city. I asked for a refund and they only gave 72 dollars from the 600 that we payed. I think this has been the worst experience in all the years of using airbnb. Do not come here.”airbnb

“beautiful, serene, huge house. Many positives but........ 1.Upon arriving, all the outside furnishings were covered with bird feces. Immediately called Hudson was told someone would come over and take it and replace it. It didn't happen. 2. Every chair is low and tippy. Looks like someone filled the furniture at Goodwill. 3. hot tub green yellow colored water. 4 Many gopher holes in yard, especially near the waters edge. Long grass makes them impossible to see. 5.Beds very low too, LOTS of 1 or 2 step staircases in bedrooms. Deadly at night. 6. No a/c in main room 7. Very noisy road. RR1 is a fast ,curvaceous road. Big trucks, endless motorcycles all day and night The house is only 20 feet from this highway 8. POOL CLOSED Not my favorite place, especially at the price. The kids were SO disappointed that they couldn't swim. It needs a LOT of improvement. Be sure to ask about my concerns before you book.”airbnb

“Great house with a beautiful living space, deck and pond. Great secure garden for dog to run around. Some issues with arrival - the lock didn't work and there were dirty robes and things previous guests left behind. It's a little shabby in areas on the outside too - outdoor furniture had a family of mice living in the cushions and had eaten their way through, loose tiles and generally could do with some TLC. All of which we wouldn't mind usually, but it wasn't resolved or dealt with care by the hosting company - we had to be in constant communication with them throughout the stay and we struggled to get resolutions. All in all a great house, but a real shame we had bad luck with a few things and customer service.”airbnb

“The stay was okay. The Airbnb was nice but we had a few issues. 1) the kitchen stank when we came in and had to clean the trash bin 2) there was a missing blind in bedroom and it took them a few days to replace. I asked them for two days to fix it or even just cover the window with one of those shade sticker films or a tarp but they didn’t resolve it for 2 days. They also gaslit me and said they did fix it even though when I came back it wasn’t fixed. I told them again that there was still no blinds. they wrote me a ridiculous message about how it may appear to not be fixed because it was a temporary fixed. 3) the management was extremely responsive but in a way that was extremely unhelpful. It was disingenuous politeness. 4) there were no trash bags or sponges. when we asked where they were they told us that we were “welcome” to purchase our own. The house was nice. However we would never stay there again and would definitely avoid this mgmt company in future”airbnb

“The location is beautiful and the great room is nice for hanging out, as well as the deck. I loved waking up to the sun over the mountains in the morning. However, we had several problems with the property unfortunately it arranged from small ones like they’re not being enough glassware or stemware, to lights not working in the primary bedroom and bathroom (which they did fix the second day), to an infestation of ladybugs that was not taken care of. In general, the place feels like it needs a bit of maintenance and perhaps better cleaning.”airbnb

“We were really excited about this cabin since we stayed there a couple of years ago during spring break and our expectations were exceeded. This time around, not so much. There definitely needs to be more love shown to the property in between guest turnovers like attention to cleaning corners and surfaces as well as the exterior of the property. Sad to see that some people would disrespect the area and leave so much trash behind and even more so that it wasn't cleaned up. We had issues with the cleanliness and maintenance of the pool. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed being outdoors but the house itself fell flat for us.”airbnb

“Don't bother staying here. It is managed by a management company that is totally unresponsive and they apparently expect the renters to do their jobs for them, including cleaning. I had to clean up after the prior guests!”airbnb

“Unclean upon 4 pm arrival - trash piled up in kitchen, beds dirty sheets, bathroom - dirty towels, towel rack on floor, no cleaning had taken place at all. We called & cleaning crew arrived at about 7 pm, worked for 3 hours while all guests huddled together amid the noisy vaccuming & overall cleaning took place. We lost first night of enjoyment. Game room advertised w/nice pingpong table & pooltable. Net unusable, paddles w/o needed backing. Pooltable had paddles placed under legs to try & level out. Cue sticks w/no endcaps; no chalk. Hot tub & fireplace nice. Asked for a refund for loss of 1st day which cost $847.36. They offered $349. Did not accept. They offered $51 more so we went directly to Airbnb who negotiated & finally agreed on $600. Will use Airbnb but not Homesweethudson as were unreasonable in negotatiations, should have made sure the home was cleaned & now took pics off web of disaster of game room. We left home as directed w/nice tip for cleaners.”airbnb
