“This place looks nicer in the picture than it actually is. It got the job done but needs some updates. The sliders to the pool are tough to open. The AC only goes down to 72, but the thermostat is in the hall, so at night the rooms get a little hot. The kitchen is nice, but the rest of the house needs updating. The nicest part of the house was the pool.”airbnb

“Helios was an okay place to stay. Be wary if you go in the summer months the fridge may take several days work properly- our food went bad because the fridge was not cold enough to keep our food fresh. The host were responsive re: my concerns but were not proactive or seemed concerned on the matter. Their response was to the effect of, “we’ve had it checked and nothings wrong”. I bought hundreds of dollars worth of food that ended up going to waste. During our 4 days stay the fridge never reached a normal / healthy temperature. Additionally, the AC worked very poorly both upstairs and downstairs . We went in June - one of the hottest months of the year in Indio. And it barely felt like the AC was on. We did not leave doors open and kept blinds down as often as possible. I’ve stayed at a handful of airbnbs / homes in the area and never experienced such poor AC.”airbnb

“It wasn’t worth it for me and my family it was 6 of us total no little kids where you would think make loud noise we had a police officer knock on the door Saturday morning at 10:45a saying that the neighbors were complaining about noise. It was a disappointment that we couldn’t even listen to music during the day or enjoy our stay because of the neighbors complaining. I would not recommend this for families that have kids or wish to have a good time outside. If you plan on being indoors than it’s worth it other than that book elsewhere, the kitchen also has no type of condiments usually Airbnb have seasonings to cook with there is nothing at this one. I will not be renting from this property again.”airbnb

“They were very friendly and responsive. The hardest thing was having door code issues everyday. several times a day. The last night they kept asking me to go outside to try different codes. I kept telling the person I was already laying in bed but they still asked me to go outside and try codes. Finally they said they were sending a locksmith at 11:30 pm i asked them not to do that cause most of the family was already asleep cause they had to get up early to get there kids from sitters. Very frustrating and I was so exhausted. Because the door kept having issues thw whole stay at least one couple had to stay behind to make sure we didn't get locked out. I kept reporting issue they would just get me another code and thanked me.”airbnb

“First night we were startled by two COCKROACHES in two different bedrooms. When we notified the hosts they told us there was nobody who could come help and told us we could use the raid under the sink (not exactly what we felt like doing on our short trip). A few more popped up over the next couple days (dead & alive). Hosts insisted they were palmetto bugs which is literally a type of cockroach (not any better). House was extremely dusty and dirty, some areas looked like they had not been cleaned in years. AC was extremely loud and did not work well. Overall the house was not well kept, basically everything had an issue with it. Great location and backyard is pretty but thats the only positive things I can say about this place. Basically nobody in our group slept because we were scared of the cockroaches and we were getting sick from the amount of dust and grime in the house. We went back and forth for days before they refunded the $400 CAD cleaning fee. Overall gross place.”airbnb

“Do NOT book here. I was told to extend for 1 it would cost a certain amount. They ended up charging me 3x the amount. I’ve been sent to multiple people to try to resolve and get refunded but they have NOT DONE A THING!! The host and Airbnb have continued to deny me. No one calls back and each keep saying it’s someone else’s problem. I’m beyond frustrated and therefore do NOT recommend this place. So disappointed!! They took my money right away but choose not to pay me back. What a ripoff! Most unpleasant experience I’ve had”airbnb

“They need to do something about the infestation of cockroaches. They need to fumigate. Also not enough toilet paper for the last day. They need to clean on detail. The upstairs restrooms was not clean enough.”airbnb

“This place was just OK, I don’t think we will stay here again. Location is good — 5 minutes walk to Ralph’s is great. Many rooms, comfortable beds and spacious living spaces. Design is functional if uninspiring. Oven is extremely frustrating — it automatically locks and is very difficult to unlock, even with food inside, which becomes a safety hazard. At this price point we should not have to clean up so extensively before checkout. $100 a day to heat the pool and hot tub is exorbitant. From 6-7am on Fridays there is a very loud garbage collection process which woke us all up — not the fault of the Airbnb but definitely negatively affected our stay. Very loud gardeners / leaf blowers beginning 8am on Monday as well.”airbnb

“When we got to the location the pool was dirty and the water was green we tried to see if there was any other option to get another property around the same area but the manager was really rude and not helpful or understanding. We ended up getting another house since we had the babies and after a long drive we just wanted to get to a place to relax . I definitely will not be referring or giving this another chance. Maybe they need another person in the management team and remove (Aron) from that role.”airbnb

“If you plan on booking to stay here, make sure you download the check in instructions prior to arriving, you hardly get any phone service at the property. Make sure you take your own utensils, none of the knives in the kitchen were cutting anything. AC being controlled and can’t be lower than 74 while the outside temperature is over 100 degrees. Had to pay $150 extra for pool heating for the entire stay, did not enjoy the pool at all since the water was not heated properly. According to management and technician, the pool was heated at 87 degrees but that was not the case, it was lower than 80. Take bug spray or bug candles, too many bugs both in front and backyard. Overall, the property was good, just those little things ruined our stay.”airbnb
