Hawaii Real Estate Executives Inc's guest rating of 4.69 is below average and may adversely impact performance. “Great Location and access, but the pictures do not represent the unit. We love staying at an Ocean front property and are happy to pay for that premium. However, the pictures they have posted are quite old as now over 60% of the ocean view is blocked by a tree and its palms. I understand that they may not have control over the grounds, but they should update the pictures, description, and cost. It is also very worn and evident it is an income property over a personal vacation property. Pros- It does have a comfortable bed and decent couch. The beach chairs, umbrella, and towels were nice. The unit was clean, just very worn with dirty walls and window coverings etc.”airbnb

“Excellent location with great views. Condo is nice but not sure who manages it. I requested a late check out (with additional money) because our flight to the main land was late at night but zero response. Also, flew all day to get there and arrived 20 minutes early and the door code didn’t work until exactly check in time which I find extremely petty. Other than check in and communication, everything was fine.”airbnb

“My time at Maalaea Surf resort was enjoyable. It was beautiful to wake up and only be a minute walk to the beach and enjoy the sound of the waves crashing. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware and had a few pantry stables which were nice. Rooms were big and comfy and the AC unit worked great. TV with movies and Netflix was an added bonus. However there’s were some cons with my stay here. 1. Floors were dirty 2. Lack of communication about the property. Closing times of laundry not posted. Hurricane precautions and power outages. 3. For the amount of paid, and the length of my stay, I feel like laundry should be included. I stayed for 7 nights and having to pay for laundry is ridiculous. Overall my stay was pleasant and would still recommend”airbnb

“Our 7-day Maui vacation was unfortunately ruined because of this property. After a long journey, we arrived to a room that was around 90°F. It was extremely hot and uncomfortable, and we felt like we were suffocating. Most importantly, we were traveling with our infant, who became sick overnight because of the heat. None of us could sleep that night.I immediately contacted the owner and explained our situation, especially our baby’s condition, and asked for a refund so we could relocate. Instead of helping, the owner told us that “50% of Maui apartments don’t have AC.” After several requests, he finally provided two additional fans, but they were very weak and did almost nothing. We also tried opening the windows and glass door, but it still didn’t help. This issue affected our entire vacation and caused tremendous stress for our family. On checkout day, our flight time had changed, so I politely asked for a little extra time. , but still charged $169 for late checkout. not stay here agn”airbnb

“Beautiful location, easy to get to and from different locations. Place could definitely use cleaning, walls/doors dirty. Place just felt dirty overall. Arrived on a Friday, AC worked only in master bedroom making the other bedroom, bathroom, living area hot. Was told couldn’t get anyone till Monday to come out and look, Monday came no one came out. Received msg on Wednesday our last day that a piece had to be replaced and wouldn’t be available until after we were gone, at that point fans were offered, really????? Why were they not offered 5 days prior?”airbnb

“In total everything was ok except the balcony. It was very dirty we couldn’t go outside and sit on the furniture because it was too dirty. Also we came there at 3:30 with two kids and asked to check in but at the office they told that we need to wait 30 minutes. We came to this apartment for the second time and I asked to check in 30 minutes earlier but they didn’t let us. The apartment was empty already so I don’t understand why they didn’t let us go inside. Also we couldn’t turn on the TV in the bedroom I asked for help but nobody came to us. We stayed there for TWO weeks!!! I think you need to be more attentive to your guests. But otherwise, everything was fine. It is a nice apartment with a beautiful view. The apartment has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Please pay more attention to cleanliness, especially on the balcony. The balcony furniture was also unusable because it was very dirty.”airbnb

“Place was filthy. Best up. No AC. The fans that were available we had to take apart and clean. Rust in the tub. Dead bugs. Dirty dishes in cupboard. Called his office and his assistant said that he would be taking any calls and that all problems could be solved at site office.”airbnb

“The apartment has everything you need. It is very well located. The only bad thing was that on the second day I asked them to change the propane gas to cook on the grill. And they never did, the communication was not good.”airbnb

“I booked in Nov 2025 for a stay in June 2026. The main reason I chose this was the close proximity to the pool for my children (shown in photos & outlined in the listing description). When my daughter broke her foot a month before our trip, I kept the reservation & paid in full with comfort that there was a close pool for her to enjoy. When we arrived on June 12, the front office told us the pool was closed for remodeling until June 27. Management acted surprised when I messaged them. I kindly asked for at least a partial refund so we could go somewhere else, given my daughter’s limited mobility & the far distance to the other pool. They refused any refund or compensation & told me to drive to the other pool. I’m still shocked by the lack of transparency & the cold indifference. I wouldn’t stay here again due to the unexpected pool closure, remodeling noise, obstructed ocean views, and gross drainage issues in the shower (they told me to use a butter knife to clean it). Disappointing.”airbnb

“This condo had a great walkout back porch to ocean/beach shared with other adjacent resorts. It was perfect for kids accessing water and pool without having to use elevator or stairs. There were some issues that were not up to par for this level of accommodation. Upon arrival king bed wasn’t made up and bathroom shower had no pressure, it was a trickle. The host had plumbers come the next day, but it was a couple days of hassle, hot water had to be turned off for something that should have been addressed prior to our arrival. Then the toilet overflowed with stinky soapy suds and flooded master bathroom from another tenant using the wrong detergent. We were told by host that since it was a holiday, they would not be able to come until the next day, and we would need to mop and clean the mess with our bath towels and then launder the towels, so we could have clean towels to bathe with. Very disappointing after spending this much money to have a relaxing vacation in Maui.”airbnb
