Manager Review

Haute Vacation Homes

Haute Vacation Homes's guest rating of 4.62 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

Location was great, amenities like the in-unit laundry dryer was good. Unfortunately it was the small things like no drinking water in the building, no laundry detergent and only a soap bar for body soap that detracted from the overall experience. The lack of these basic amenities means that all guests would need to visit the grocery/convenience store during their stay. Also the automated messages were too frequent with many rules, check-out steps (and various threats of fee penalties) that made the overall communication experience superficial and insincere without actually being helpful.

The host did allow us a later checkout at 12 PM instead of 10 AM, which we appreciated. However, the overall experience was more difficult than expected. Communication often felt slow and reactive, and several issues arose during the stay, including a refrigerator that did not cool properly, unclean blankets with strong odors, and a bathroom exhaust fan that appeared not to function correctly. There was also ongoing back-and-forth regarding basic necessities such as toilet paper during a multi-day stay, which became unnecessarily frustrating. While I understand the concept of “starter supplies,” basic sanitary essentials should not become a debate between host and guest. The host did attempt to address some concerns, and I appreciate those efforts, but overall the experience lacked the level of preparedness, responsiveness, and hospitality I expected.

The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable for two people, and the location was convenient for quick access to Universal. If no issues arise during your stay, it can be a good place to stay. However, I can’t honestly leave a five-star review based on the communication and how concerns were handled. On the first night, a loud beeping noise went off in the bedroom every 15 minutes, making it difficult to sleep. We reported it the next morning and were told it would be addressed, but we received no updates. When the issue continued that evening, we reached out again and were advised to loosen the smoke detector ourselves, which felt inappropriate and did not fully solve the problem as the beeping continued, though a bit quieter. We also had inconsistent hot water and never received a response when we asked about it. In addition, guests cannot set the thermostat below 70, and without a bedroom fan, the room felt too warm several nights.

Unfortunately, this was not a good experience for us. I don’t recall the assistant’s name, but most of my communication was through someone assisting Atanisa, and the responses often came across as condescending rather than helpful. We also did not receive clear instructions on how to enter the community. Typically, check-in details and access codes are provided before arrival, but we had to follow up multiple times before finally receiving the information. Once we arrived, the condition of the property was very disappointing. There were only two pots and pans available, Cobb webs in the corners of the ceiling, the carpet and walls were dirty, the shower was unclean, one of the toilets was not functioning properly, and there were large stains on the couch. Overall, the property did not appear to be well maintained. Due to these issues, I ultimately requested to cancel the reservation and Airbnb approved it.

Trash left behind in the home, sewer water smell in the bathrooms, hard beds, microwave didn’t work and freezer issues, no callback from host and only communication via message which were delayed. Never again!

Upon arriving at the home, it took over 30 minutes just to get inside. Maintenance came to replace the keypad lock on the front door, but was unable to do so as the WiFi did not work, so they had to leave physical keys behind with us. Once we went inside, we immediately noticed a smell. Once we started assigning bedrooms, it only got worse. Hair in the beds, dried food in some of them. Stains on the bedding, dining room chairs, and walls. One of the bathrooms had brown stains on the walls in front of and besides the toilet.. one can only assume POOP. Kitchen cleanliness was subpar as the woodwork was covered in food. The pantry floors looked to not be mopped or swept. The back door was broken and didn't lock. The WiFi was inoperable. When presented with these issues, the host claimed we lied! We had to leave and book a different Airbnb for the rest of our trip. Would highly suggest avoiding this home!

We were extremely disappointed with our stay. Upon arrival, the home was not clean and did not match the standard shown in the listing photos. There were visible stains on the carpet, dirty surfaces, and overall the property did not feel properly prepared for guests, especially at this price point. What was most concerning is that after reviewing prior feedback, we noticed other guests had mentioned similar issues, which suggests this is not a one-off situation. We contacted the host immediately, but once we decided to leave due to the condition of the home, communication became limited and they refused to provide any refund. We ultimately had to work directly with Airbnb support to resolve the situation. To be clear, this was not about “personal preference”, this is about basic cleanliness and standard expectations when paying over $2,200 for a stay. Those expectations were not met. Based on this experience, we would not stay at this property again or book with Haute Vacation Home

We booked this home for a spring break trip with our children and were very disappointed. Upon arrival, multiple towels and bedding items were already stained despite strict warnings about charges for that, which raised concerns about cleanliness. There were also safety issues—a towel holder fell off the wall near the tub exposing a nail, and other fixtures, including a bedroom door, felt loose and unstable. The outdoor area had dog waste and cigarette debris, which was unacceptable. The biggest issue was the pool—we paid for it to be heated, but it remained too cold to use for most of our stay despite being told it was fixed. Chemicals were also added without notice. We attempted to find alternative accommodations but couldn’t due to spring break demand. Communication was inconsistent and at times dismissive. Overall, the home did not meet expectations and significantly impacted our trip

Was disappointed overall. House and. Location were fine, pool worked 3 of 6 days we paid for. Stair railing was loose, kitchen ice didnt work, when issue was communicated, they would respond with a note advising they would “take a look” but that would be it. Never closing out the issues. Pool was addressed several times as it worked day 1 and 5 and 6, but they would not refund for inoperable days stating was working fine. Just really disappointing as pool was key selling point.
