Manager Review

Five Star Vacation Rentals

Five Star Vacation Rentals's guest rating of 4.48 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

We arrived and another gentleman was trying to enter, bathtubs were dirty, lawn un kept, railings falling off front porch lights busted, lose on all other floors. Looks like a war happened inside. Un renovations, blue tape marked all over, unpainted dryeall areas all throughtout the house. Roaches, just not worth the money paid to be in a renovation site. Needs a ton of work, no fire detectors, not all appliances work, not ready for large groups, no utensils, grills were rusted and needed replacing as they didn't work after asking host multiple times about them. Flooring is all messed up throughout the house, drywall is damaged all over the house, unkept yard and driveway. I mean the list goes on and the check out process requires you to get up early or prepare the night before so you can meet all required check out process needs. Its really is a true frat house!!! Just needs a kegorator!!

Everything was amazing just know you will get no heated pool or heated spa the host doesn’t even respond to you it’s a third party company so good luck with that

The house was beautiful upon the arrival but once we tried using things we found a lot of issues. The location was beautiful. Unfortunately the host was slow to respond.

I’m assuming that they have multiple locations because it tells you that there’s a garage and there is no the garage so if you have more than two cars, you’re kind of screwed that the card has to park semi in the road the stove only one burner works they still had to decorate for Christmas, even though we rented it for Easter they give you limited towels. You don’t get the house rules until after the cancellation date and when you reach out, it’s a company so they don’t respond with a certain amount of time or hours the hot tub is is outdated in some of the features don’t work the pool table same thing pool sticks are worn and tour the pool table worn and tour. There’s cracks in the towel, which is a hazard for kids and they covered it with a poorly installed area rug the grill is old and rusted. The only good thing about this place is the location for the village and the room set up if you have multifamily company.

Mark was very unresponsive when there was an issue with the booking age, which was hidden in a hard to find location. He did not respond until after the refund date. He isn't a regular airbnb host, he works for a professional rental agency called 5 star vacation rentals. I would not recommend booking if you want a host who can communicate and respond within a week of messaging.

Due to the character limit I will not go into detail. To say the least, the cabin was fun but not worth the price. We had a few issues and one MAJOR problem being that the digital door lock to the entrance did not work. And it was never fixed during our stay although we were told it would be fixed the night of our arrival, which then led to” it’ll be fixed tomorrow”. And then we never heard from the rental agency again. Upon arrival, my family and I were waiting outside in the 39 degree weather for someone to show up and fix the digital lock on the door. After about 30 minutes I had to climb through a window (per the rental agency’s request) to finally get in and let my family inside. We were not able to lock the door behind us when leaving the cabin to do activities or when we departed from our stay.

Would not recommend. Stained sheets, sand in some beds, standing water in dishwasher that flooded the kitchen when we attempted to drain, not enough blankets for the beds (we had to purchase extra), 7 coffee mugs in house that sleeps double digits. When I messaged the host he apologized and sad it was because they had a new cleaning crew but the dishwasher was a maintenance issue NOT a cleaning issue. He did offer to pay for the blankets.

This place looks really nice but once you get there you could tell it’s not cleaned by the owners it’s left the way the previous people left it. They expect you to clean up everything take trash to a certain location basically do all the work and they just worry about towels. As soon as we go there we checked the rooms out and there was trash under the beds lots of wrappers. Another bedroom had a nail on the rug and a dental floss on the night stand. One room had a pill thrown on the floor. The beds are super hard! The pillows were stained with big yellow marks. The couch smelled like pee there was animal hairs everywhere this place need to be sanitized and have a deep clean.

Do not recommend — health hazard. This property is in serious need of maintenance and deep cleaning. We found rat droppings in multiple areas of the house, broken stair steps, and several plumbing and appliance issues. These problems were reported to Mark within 24 hours of our arrival. He sent a maintenance person who addressed a few items, but we were told he had to leave briefly and would return. No one ever came back. We attempted to contact Mark again, but he stopped responding entirely. We were ultimately forced to contact Airbnb Support. Aside from a partial refund, the issues were never properly resolved, due to health hazards we didn’t get to fully utilize the entire house, and host lacks accountability.

The place did have the potential of being much better. The heater does not work well so the place is freezing and it takes a very long time to heat up. The hosts could simply out of courtesy turn on the heater so by the time you want to check in you don’t have to freeze. The furnitures are very old and uncomfortable. Under our bed there was trash left behind. Not all bathroom had hand soap. The amenities are next to minimum. You need to take everything with yourselves if you are going there. When you take a shower the bathtubs do not drain as fast and a lot of water piles up in the tubs. The sliding doors do not completely shut and it results freezing air to come in and you can’t warm up the place also they don’t have curtains on all windows. At least if there were thick curtains we can warm up easier. The house is ok but not the best. 2 or 3 out of 5 star for overall stay is a decent rating. Also, the garage does not have a light so you have to leave the door open to unload.
