Five Star Gulf Rentals
4.59Visit website
Five Star Gulf Rentals's guest rating of 4.59 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“The actual home is beautiful and has easy access to the beach. It was clean and very spacious! Here’s the bad part: We were very unhappy with the 5-star management company. Our 1st issue was w/moving in. We were unfamiliar with the pool alarm (extreme piercing sound when opening the door). Instead of them telling us to go inside and use the back door (which we didn’t have a key to) - they told us to have someone stand there and press the button - but it still pierced our ears. We had LOTS of luggage! They are VERY slow to respond - we arrived with trash bins overflowing on a Friday night and had no place to put our trash. It wasn’t taken care of until 4 days later! We had an issue with a new golf cart they brought in for future tenants, that they parked in the only shaded spot, so “our” golf cart was blazing hot! We called 3 times & it was never moved. A few other issues in the home that hopefully will be fixed for future tenants - outlets in master bathroom and a burner not working.”airbnb

“HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Stayed for a full week with no working ac in the condo. Temps in the condo were between 79-80 degrees. I would Never recommend or use five star again. I would have never accepted this stay for the price I paid for a full week knowing the condo did not have ac. They never reached out to me about trying to help the situation. I had to call daily and never given accurate information. Zero customer service. They admittedly agreed that we fell through the cracks of not being a professional company management. DO NOT USE FIVE STAR”airbnb

“CONSTRUCTION NOT disclosed - watch out summer 2026 guests. We were not able to walk down the path 3 minutes to pool as advertised - we had to watch for nails and construction debris as we walked to the pool. The construction started at 6 am. We were very sad with our accommodations because we paid a premium for the location that was inaccurate. We had 6 children in our group and we specifically booked the property for the ease of access to the pool and beach. Hopefully, the property manager updates the description and warns future renters. We felt surprised and deceived.”airbnb

“pictures didn't match. Made it look bigger and newer. Not as many chairs and the dinner table as shown. Not near enough towels. Not enough utensils in kitchen. When I asked if the house had certain things was told know so we brought them only to find that they were there. Didn't feel like you were in touch with your property. TV's were a big problem. Overall not happy”airbnb

“Upon arrival the 3rd floor thermostat was on 86 degrees. It took 28 hours for the 3rd floor to actually get to an appropriate sleeping level and every single night it would reset to 80 degrees if you didn’t constantly touch the thermostat every couple hours. All of the children’s feet were black from walking around the unit. We ended up buying a mop and vacuuming and mopping the entire unit so our feet weren’t black. This Airbnb advertises a “hot tub” but the hot tub heat does not work and half of the time the hot tub would get so low it was only about a foot deep. Whenever we got to the place the hot tub was empty. When we called about the problems we were spoken to rudely by five star and were hung up on. They sent a maintenance man to our house at 10:30 at night and he just walked right into the door using the pin code and woke up my two children with no warning that he was coming. It could’ve ended really bad. I would not recommend this house or this company.”airbnb

“Overall was a good experience apart from dirty floors upon arrival and unexpected rules/fees that I was responsible for. Expect to pay for beach umbrellas out of pocket because you cannot use your own and host never revealed that until 2 days before arrival. 3 umbrellas cost us $900 for 5 days! Cost that we did not expect to pay! Details like that should be mentioned before initial booking! House was great close to the beach and very comfortable beds! Pool is very small.”airbnb

“The house itself was nice overall and had good potential, but there were too many maintenance, cleanliness, and communication issues for us to overlook. When we arrived, the floors were dirty, there were stains on the kitchen stools, and there was visible dust on drawers and surfaces. One downstairs bedroom door handle was completely destroyed/missing upon arrival. The refrigerator beeped throughout our entire stay saying the door was open even when it was shut properly. The second-floor washing machine did not work correctly, and the kitchen was not well stocked for cooking. There were very limited utensils, no coffee filters for the coffee maker, and the outdoor grill had no barbecue utensils or cleaning supplies. The hot tub also had visible mildew, which was disappointing. In addition, the garage door did not function properly during the stay. Several carpets/rugs throughout the house had corners folded upward, creating a tripping hazard. The biggest issue was the lack of comm”airbnb

“Please look elsewhere. There are plenty of properties nearby. The PM is non responsive and dismissive. Concerns were not remedied. The spa was never warmed during our stay even after multiple requests. The kitchen is not equipped for cooking. The yard ( front/back) were littered with cigarette butts everywhere. There are broken pool tiles with sharp edges. This home has a lot of potential but has been very neglected. The location, bikes and golf cart were great. Keep looking, without significantly improving the functionality of their property you will definitely be disappointed.”airbnb

“Inquired about pool heat and never received a response. At 1am on the 2nd night, the entire homes fire alarms started going off! Kids scared and crying while the alarm system is screaming Fire, Fire, Fire… This happened again the same night at 4am! There was never any fire. I immediately emailed and text 5star property management and received notification that their typical response time is 14 HOURS!!! 2 days later they send a man to check system and he shrugs his shoulders and says nothing can be done. Beautiful view though.”airbnb
