“Our purpose was not to visit Gastonia but to relocate our aged parents during home repairs. This home was perfect for that purpose. In fact, with just a few upgrades it would be a great handicapped accessible home. The owners were very responsive during our stay.”

“There was a miscommunication with the cleaning company when I checked in. The place hadn’t been cleaned yet. However, empire went above and beyond to make sure it got cleaned and even refunded me for a night exceptional customer service. The place was nice and as described. Close to local restaurants and nightlife easy to get to in a quiet little neighborhood.”

“We stayed a month. We had 1 towel and 1 hand towel for 3 people to share. There was a half roll of toilet paper on a broken holder. The ice machine did not work. The dryer literally took 3 hours to dry clothing. The shower curtain had visible pink mold. The window shades kept falling. I spelt on a broken bed for almost 2 weeks. They did replace the bed. The kitchen sink leaks. Some of the dishes were dirty. We kept tripping over the rug in the living room because the ends were not secured properly. I also had to buy a screw driver to tighten the front door handle and a handle in the closet. I was afraid the handles would fall off. There was a broom but no dust pan. I should have known it wasn’t going to be the best experience when the smoke detector needed a new battery when we arrived.”

“Empire Dreams goes above and beyond as a host. They were responsive and understanding in all aspects and they truly make you feel like a welcomed guest! As for the home, absolutely stunning. It was everything it was promised and more! The moment you step inside, you’re met with warmth and comfortability. Wonderful people with a wonderful house. Would definitely book with them again when and wherever possible!”

“The house is updated and was clean. It is in a convenient location, lots to do in Gastonia. The issues are it is very close to a hospital emergency entrance so there are many sirens. Also, it is literally across the street from train tracks, and the trains do go by several times a day and during the night. The next-door neighbor leaves bowls of food and water out for stray cats right on what appears to be the Airbnb property. They also mention a fenced in yard which is accurate but there is nothing in it, no chairs, no grill. There is no place to hang up a jacket other than in the bedroom closet which did not have any hangers in it. The second bath had no place in the shower for your toiletries. No hooks on the back of any doors to hang towels or clothing. The host was responsive, but we would not stay there again.”
