“We experienced significant issues during our stay due to an ongoing plumbing problem that the host was aware of before our arrival. We were happy to accommodate repairs and repeatedly offered to leave the property to allow the work to be completed. Unfortunately, the explanations regarding the repairs changed multiple times, and the water was eventually shut off, requiring us to relocate mid-vacation. Airbnb refunded our stay and helped us find another property, but the disruption and inconsistent communication made for a disappointing experience. We also encountered a significant mosquito infestation around the property, making it difficult to enjoy the outdoor space. We ended up purchasing a patio fogger ourselves, which helped considerably. Thankfully, Airbnb relocated us to Vickie's property, and the difference was night and day. The home was more modern, offered much better amenities, had easier beach access, and made the remainder of our vacation far more enjoyable.”
