Dune Allen Realty Vacation Rentals

Dune Allen Realty Vacation Rentals's guest rating of 4.57 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

A great location for a couple or small family. Walkable to the beach, pool, and restaurants. The view was great too! We’ll be back!

The entire experience as a whole was wonderful. The location itself right on the beach with private access. No public access people can set up on your beach area... it made it feel more peaceful each beach day! The townhouse I did not expect stair immediately when opening the door, if you don't like stairs, this will not be the place for you. But we didn't mind it at all for the convenience aspect of having younger kids and getting to the beach was a breeze. The rooms were spacious, kitchen big and easy to navigate. Decks were perfect. The master bed was not comfortable, but a small price to pay for everything else I loved about it. The cutest coffee shop, bar, restaurant and souvenir shop all in very short walking distance. Will be back to Blue Mountain!

Upon Arrival we had AC’s that did not work. Beth was responsive on getting someone out but tech said AC needed to be replaced. We were told it’s as good as it’s going to get. So we had to deal with sleeping in hot rooms. The main living areas had AC just not two of the bedrooms. There was no trash service. Only one shower would have hot water at a time and it would fluctuate between hot and cold. Not one ice maker in the house worked. The grill provided was rusted through so we had to purchase a grill for the house. The house was clean but you could tell it was not maintained. We paid a lot of money to have a terrible stay. We did reach out to the host and they said they would ask the owner about a partial refund but we never heard back. It’s disappointing for us to drive as far as we did and stay for as long as we did to have a terrible stay and then them not make it right.

Close to the beach, parking lot is awkward because its only one way and you have to drive in and turn around at the end of the parking lot to get out. Beds were comfortable, couch and chairs in Living Room were not. Very awkward and stiff couch and chairs. The fan in the King bedroom would only run if on full speed so it was all or nothing. Should provide more toilet tisssue for a condo that says it can hold 6 people. Could use some updating and some upgraded furniture but the location from the beach is a hit.

Beautiful view of the beach from the living room, the house is an older house with basic necessities. The washing machine didn’t work during our stay, and with three little kids we had to go get our laundry done, which was disappointing. Beth did reach out to get it serviced, but it was not resolved during our stay. She also offered to have more towels brought by, but we really needed to be able to do laundry. We still enjoyed our stay and since we got rain a couple days, having a beach view was really nice.

I am glad I did not pay to have the pool heated because there were no lights at the pool. Which made it very unsafe at night. Since there are very few street lights, it’s pitch black and hard to navigate. We did have string lights put in the third or fourth day we were there which did light the porch area, but not the pool. the futon was broken, so we used its mattress on the floor.

House is in an amazing location. The home is a good size with 5 bedrooms and a big open kitchen and living area. The host wouldn't share the address of the house until the day of checkin which made things a little more difficult when planning our stay. It was also annoying that they would only communicate thorugh email and not throught the app. I found it silly that they would only provide TP, paper towels and other house hold consumables for a few days. Like charge me $50 more and provide the proper amount of supplies for a week. I would have been nice if there were some beach supplies provided like a cooler, chairs, ect. Overall the hosue was good but it could be great!

We checked in late around 9:30pm. Upon check in we found the water was completely turned off to the unit we called maintenance they had somebody there within 30 minutes and had it on. Noticed it was warm inside when we checked in but didn’t think anything about it since thermostat was set on 76 so we pumped it down to 72 went to bed and woke up it was 79 in the house so we called maintenance they had someone out within a hour and had it fixed. I thought I would be offered some sort of refund for having the 2 issues but have yet been offered anything for the trouble we experienced. House was clean but we did see 2 roaches, one was dead and one was a live in the shower.
