“The home itself was beautiful, but several aspects did not match the listing. The fenced yard was extremely small and not suitable for a dog, despite being advertised as a closed, fenced yard. The patio shown in the listing was cluttered with items, and the chairs were deteriorating and did not appear suitable to sit in. The advertised jacuzzi and porch swing were also not there but shown in pictures. When we arrived, there were approximately 100 large black carpenter ants throughout the home. They made it difficult to relax, and even bit my dog. I was uncomfortable taking my shoes off during the stay because of the ants. The listing also did not clearly show the three flights of steep, narrow stairs required to access the bedrooms, which was especially difficult for my pregnancy Overall, the home was beautiful, but I was disappointed by the difference between the listing and what was actually provided. I enjoyed parts of the stay, but unfortunately I would not stay here again.”

“The house was nice, no ac unfortunately or a trash service so you will need to take your trash with you. Unfortunately there were no curtains in the upstairs restroom so it was difficult to take a shower without feeling watched. Other than that the house had ample room, a nice pool table, hot tub, and living room. Nice and spacious kitchen, the other bathrooms were ok as well.”

“The home is beautiful and we enjoyed the different levels the home had to offer. The dishes and utensils were not very clean and none of the knives were sharp to cut. We washed all dishes by hand. The baking trays were dirty and stained up and difficult to use. There was hair and crumbs in the sheets and blankets that we tried to use. The description says 3 cars but I would not suggest 3 cars. The driveway is really steep and we had a difficult time driving up it even with a 4X4 vehicle. One of our major issues was that we were not informed about the mandatory power outages every night. Destination Big Bear Vacation Rentals was good about letting us know about the broken recliner chair but failed to mentioned the power outages. The home has some flashlights but not enough. It can be very unsafe for families with little ones in the dark with all the levels in the home. The company was contacted as a curtesy prior to this review.”

“The house was plenty big for our group. It offered a ton of sleeping options. The neighborhood was nice and peaceful. Unfortunately for such an expensive place there was a lot of little things that weren't nice. Not all the recliners worked, the keurig was broken, the microwave tripped the breaker, there were no hand towels in the kitchen or powder room, there was only one roll of paper towels, the door knob on the bathroom door was loose, the hot tub did not get hot, there was only one wash cloth per bathroom, the internet was spotty and the TVs were difficult to figure out. The last annoyance was having to drive 15 minutes into town to drop off our trash. For the amount of money we paid they should have been able to provide us with working appliances, extra towels, trash service, etc.”

“It was a lovely stay at this cabin. Our group loved the log cabin cozy vibes and enjoyed every meal home-cooked in the kitchen. Most spices available there! Thankfully we brought everything we needed, but we were surprised by how much was available for us in the cabinets! Board games galore in the living room entertainment unit! It was a fun stay! Wish we had just one more day! I will say, because this place is owned by a company and not a person, the contract you have to sign beforehand is truly horrid. Like they threaten to charge $900 to your card for what seems like every little thing. For this reason, it made the trip kind of feel like a business deal. I was constantly feeling like I had to police my guests with us so I wasn’t charged the fees. That was the one thing that really sucked. I don’t think I’ll want to stay in a cabin owned by a company ever again for this reason. We were able to get late check out though! So that was cool!”

“Its a nice cabin its beautiful.I hope the there’s ac in the leaving room because its too hot during the day.I hope whoever really assign to check the cabin make sure its really clean because its dusty under the bed and pillows and blanket its smelly but we still enjoyed staying there.Thank you”

“I do not give 5 stars because the quay of the house is 6 houses of the location, it is the only thing I do not like, in the description of the house they do not specify where the quay is located.”

“upon arrival no way to touch the handle without cleaning off the cobwebs. opened door to nasty dirty dusty pool table. walking up the stairs I see stains on the carpet. upon reaching the second floor the dust triggered my asthma, so I had to spend time dusting, went to the bathroom to wash my hands, the side of the tub had dirt & HAIRS... GROSS! the sheets didn't smell freshly laundered. I was so upset I took photos and sent to the host. then I go to sit on the deck and there is no clean surface to sit, the rattan couch cushions were filthy, there was a black ripped tarp on the floor next to the table that was covered with a ripped filthy gray cover. went to see if I could sit in the back yard, the yard was a mess, there were a few plastic chairs that were almost tucked under the stairs and filthy! the photos on the listing must have been taken the ONLY time that place had been cleaned, the couch had questionable stains! went to geta drink, glass dirty with lipstick on the rim.”

“I would have put 5 stars if they didn’t give me a mini heart attack upon check-in and arrival. It turns out they had not updated the address / house we booked. We almost went inside the wrong house. Also, it took a while for them to answer. When i called the host.. i spoke with 2 people and they sounded unpleasant. It’s uncomfortable and i was frustrated arriving on a wrong address and expecting check in would go smoothly. I have never experienced this before. Also, you had to dispose trash like 3.8 miles away, approx 12 min by car. Also, the pillows are thin.. but they have extra pillows.. not just enough for everyone. On the other hand, we had a great time. My whole family had enjoyed and love our stay. It’s almost perfect. The views are amazing.”

“My stay was overall ok I booked this cabin because of the fenced yard for my kids but when I got there the gate door to get in was completely broken off so I was a bit disappointed with that. I also didn’t like how some tiles where broken in the kitchen behind the stove. When I got there I was expecting the cabin to be ready but we had to wait over an hour for the cleaning lady to finish.”
