“Stayed 4 weeks with my 2 dogs. Very quiet, peaceful neighborhood with beautiful mountain views. I especially appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was. There were plenty of dishes, utensils, cookware and other essentials that made it easy to cook a meal and feel at home. Birgit always responded timely to the few questions I had and she also proactively contacted me to ensure my stay was going well.”

“My family really enjoyed this beautiful cabin in the woods. The view from the deck was incredible! Loved waking up to sunrise over the mountains. The beds were very comfortable and place was very clean. We enjoyed eating on the deck and sitting in the rocking chairs enjoying the view. The hot tub was a wonderful place to relax after a long day hiking. The drive up the mountain is a small winding road just be prepared to go slow. It was nice that the covered parking pad has a small grass area behind it that is fenced in for our pup. Lots to do in this area, Biltmore house is not far and the short hiking trail just down the road was a wonderful place to go for a morning hike. We would recommend this wonderful cabin.”

“WOW--what can I say that the photos of this beautiful, relaxing retreat do not? The view is spectacular and you can spend hours on the two decks watching birds and other wildlife, enjoying the breeze and the incredible show of light and clouds over the expanse of mountains, or unwinding in the spa under the stars. Even though the surroundings make the house feel secluded and remote, it is minutes from downtown Weaverville--an easy ~18 minute drive from downtown Asheville--and there are a wealth of restaurant and grocery options. Birgit and Tony are experienced hosts and they have created a peaceful, fun, and well-appointed space. They provided excellent recommendations and instructions and were very helpful and responsive. (We had no issues, but they kindly helped us add an app to the Roku TV so that my parents could watch the series finale of their favorite show.) If you're traveling to Asheville and want a comfortable haven to serve as your base of operations, look no further!”

“We had a great stay at Birgit’s place. Had everything we needed. A high chair and a pack n play were provided upon request. The game room was a big hit in the evening when the little ones went to sleep. Nice flow from the screened in room to the deck. Overall a wonderful stay with the family!!”

“What a wonderful place to experience the beauty of North Carolina! This beautiful mountain home is tucked away just outside the charming little town of Weaverville, yet it’s perfectly located for exploring everything the Asheville area has to offer. From the moment we walked through the door, we felt welcomed. A lovely bottle of wine was waiting for us, the home was incredibly clean and inviting, and then we saw the views—absolutely breathtaking! The panoramic mountain scenery is something pictures simply cannot do justice. As beautiful as the inside of the home was, the decks immediately drew us outdoors. We honestly spent a good portion of our stay sitting outside together as a family. Those quiet moments on the deck ended up being some of our favorite memories from the trip. The location was also fantastic. We were within an easy drive of some breathtaking attractions & waterfall hikes and so much of the natural beauty that makes North Carolina special.”

“The house was well kept and nicely updated, stocked with fun surprises like collectible dishes in the kitchen and shuffleboard in the basement. We watched the sunset from the swing on the deck every night and enjoyed the katydids and whippoorwills after dark. Close to downtown, the farmers market, and lots of mountain biking trails. We had an issue with a drain and Birgit had it taken care of before we got home from our outing. Great place!”

“The house made our vacation to Asheville one of our favorites. We thoroughly enjoyed the view. Drinking coffee in the sunroom in the mornings, enjoying the hot tub on deck after long hikes, and eating dinner and relaxing in the screened in porch every evening. The house is nicely decorated and offers ample amount of comfortable seating. Our teenage boys loved the house too. We hope to be able to return for another memorable trip!”
