CoolVacay's guest rating of 4.58 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“The room was clean. However some of the appliances were outdated. Rugs and furniture are also outdated. The buildings are rundown and the area could use maintenance. The entry into the building was dirty and had a terrible odor. Definitely not worth what we paid.”airbnb

“After hours check-in wasn’t smooth. However, the unit and location were great. I would definitely go back. Comfy beds, nice balcony, great walking area. Kitchen is under stocked but you get what you pay for. Overall, had a great time.”airbnb

“Unit was clean and nice furnishings in living area. Excellent bayfront view. Check in was easy. Somewhat Noisy on the deck as bldg is next to an amusement park/go kart track. Quiet in the unit. Bring your own blow dryers for hair and extra blankets if you think you may need them. I had selected this unit as it came up as pet friendly (selected this filter when looking for a place). The request was accepted for 4 people and a dog. The reminder came about the stay (week before our stay) with a statement that while the bldg is pet friendly this unit was not. I may have missed this statement when I made the initial reservation but I noticed it immediately in the reminder. Don’t think a unit that is not pet friendly should show as an option just because the bldg is nor should the request have been accepted. They offered another unit in the bldg but I had selected the unit I liked. Made other arrangements for my dog.”airbnb

“While this condo has beautiful views and is in a great location, there were several issues with our stay that led us to not recommend this location. The issues we had all occurred after hours (evenings and Sunday) when there was no one at the front desk. This included having to wait for 30-40 minutes for late check-in, neighbors partying all through the night, and getting locked out of our room on the final day. Each time we had to call their answering service which turned out to be little to no help in each scenario. When these issues were brought to the host at the conclusion of the stay the provided excuses for each issue and ultimately said that all issues should have been addressed with the front desk at the time the issues occurred. But remember, there was no front desk staff when the issues occurred… which was the issue. Ultimately this was a frustrating stay and we do not recommend this condo for your stay.”airbnb

“Room was dirty, bedding had blood or bodily fluids stains. Pull out couch was covered in dirt, hair and crumbs. Floor was sticky. Bathroom had a mildew odor. Pool and hot tub seems to have not been serviced or maintained in a while. Photos were deceiving. Balcony and ocean view was the highlight”airbnb

“The bed makes a sounds when you sit in it. The bathroom looks clean, but the corners all over the room is dirty. The tub wash clogged up. The oven had dirty trays in it do I had to put them in the dish washer before leaving. The furniture is very old and outdated. The table leans and has stains on it. The hall ways always cluttered you could barely walk. The pool was dirty all around it you could see the mold.”airbnb

“This was one of the most disturbing experiences our family has ever had. During our stay, a child drowned in the pool. It was absolutely heartbreaking and deeply traumatic to be around. We could no longer use the pool or feel comfortable on the property, yet Airbnb refused any refund and showed zero compassion. Instead, they pointed to “no lifeguard” signs, which felt cold and dismissive given the severity of what happened. The situation was made even worse by the check in process. We were never told this involved a timeshare office. We waited over 20 minutes because Jacey left at check in, and when she returned she was hostile, accused us of lying, and spoke down to us. Completely unprofessional. Between the tragedy, lack of empathy, and disrespectful treatment, this stay was upsetting and unacceptable. Avoid at all costs.”airbnb

“Would not recommend. Place was disgusting and not as described. Could not even use the pool or the hot tub as it was so gross. (Earring found, excessive dirt and hair floating around in hot tub). The indoor pool was cold and had bugs floating around. The inside of the property was so nasty that we decided to stay somewhere else. There was no Wi-Fi provided. Worst Airbnb experience I’ve ever had. Place was listed as a “condo” but is clearly a hotel setting. The bedroom is when you walk in the front door and have to go through the bedroom to get to living space. The bathroom was so dirty we couldn’t even use the shower. Very thin walls so you can hear others in their bedroom. Disgusting and very disappointed. Horrible experience. Please don’t book with this company.”airbnb
