Coastal Grand Vacations

4.72
Coastal Grand Vacations's guest rating of 4.72 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

Beautiful, well appointed condo on the beach. Nice low density complex. Well stocked in the kitchen and beach gear closet.

We had a very relaxing stay. Nothing was crowded and it was a perfect time to visit Sanibel. The condo is in a great location with a gorgeous view of the gulf!

We had a wonderful stay at this Sanibel property . The unit was in excellent condition—very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. One of the highlights was the beach, which was just a short walk away and absolutely beautiful. The location made it easy to relax and enjoy everything Sanibel has to offer. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great beach getaway.

The listing described the location as a cottage, but it's actually an old post office building refurbished & turned into a duplex. Finding it was challenging because Google maps takes you into the parking lot for the property & the entrance to the 'cottage' where the unit number is located can't be seen if you enter from that side. The refrigerator was inside the closet. The people staying on the other side had the tv volume turned up extremely loudly until midnight and we messaged management to let them know how disturbing it was & how unhappy we were that the 'cottage' was actually a duplex & not private. I know we messaged them after hours but we didn't get a response until 11am the next day & all they said was they would tell the other couple to watch their volume. They made zero effort to make our stay better. The following night (2am), the smoke alarm went off bc the battery needed to be replaced & our only option was to detach it from the ceiling. We would NOT stay here again.

We found one roach in the upstairs bathtub the night we arrived. We killed it. We found a second roach on the kitchen wall during our first morning there. We killed it. We found 3rd roach the second night in an upstairs closet. We killed it. We arrived on Friday. We notified the host every time we found a roach. Pest control came Tuesday morning. We met with him, did a walk-through with them, and had them spray all over the place. The night before we left, we found and killed another roach in the kitchen. Two additional roaches made their way into our checked luggage and unfortunately arrived at our home with us. We were extremely unhappy. We did not see anything in the literature to alert us that roaches in this place might be a possibility. We paid way too much money for the week to deal with the roaches.

The proximity to the beach can't be beat. But, items left behind by previous occupant were a red flag that housekeeping wasn't the best.

Overall a good stay. My family had been longtime residents at the nearby Periwinkle Park, so this location was very familiar to us. It has good access to the public beach and is easy to get to/from the Sanibel Causeway. The main shortcoming was around the kitchen. Basics like coffee filters were not included, which are frustrating to buy for a two week stay. The cookware felt like hand-me-downs; scratched and flakey Teflon is a major no-no. And the "starter kit" of detergent, garbage bags, and even toilet paper was so minimal that all of these items needed to be purchased at Sanibel prices. Felt a little disappointing at this price point. One area that it overperformed was bedrooms. There are actually four bedroom with a total of six beds. Two were either queen/king and four were twin. We were also happy to find some beach chairs and toys, which both got used.
