Coastal Dreamin's guest rating of 4.69 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“I’ve stayed in Prominence many times and have always had great experiences, so I came into this stay with certain expectations. This was my first time in this particular unit. The biggest issue was the no pool/beach towels being provided. As out-of-state travelers with young children, having to make an extra trip to the store before we could enjoy the pool was frustrating. It also meant having to squeeze towels into our suitcases for the trip home, which was an unnecessary inconvenience. We also arrived without a door code and had to contact the help line to gain access. The host didn’t reach out until the next morning to assist. I was surprised there was no coffee at all provided, the fridge water filter was expired, and basic items like scissors were unavailable. The beds were not very comfortable, and overall the home felt more like a basic hotel stay than a well-stocked vacation rental. Having stayed in several other Prominence units, this one lacked thoughtful touches expected.”airbnb

“Decent place to stay, house is mostly as advertised. Property management company dealing. HOA police are very strict on many fronts. Included golf cart needs upgraded along with grill.”airbnb

“While the location of the property was perfect (we loved the private beach and smaller crowd), the condo needs significant work to be worth the price. It’s one of the worst accommodations I’ve ever stayed in, and we do AirBnb frequently. The pictures on the listing made the place seem clean and put together. However, upon arrival we were immediately met with a distinct odor. It’s musty and smells of mold/mildew. I have photos of mold on the ceiling. There’s also mold in the showers. Additionally, the beds in the loft were nothing more than cots-literally the cheapest thing I could imagine. Thrift-store quality would have been better. The box springs were exposed and they didn’t even bother with the bed skirts like pictured in the listing. Mattresses had yellow stains, and the couch in the living room was sad with lumpy, stained cushions and a stained down comforter for the pull-out. The place needs some TLC for the price. They’ve furnished the place as cheaply as possible and it shows.”airbnb

“We stayed here for a bachelorette weekend, and for the price we paid, I would recommend looking elsewhere. As a group of women, safety is extremely important to us. We reported a sugar ant infestation in both the bride’s room and the kitchen. While the owners responded quickly, the way it was handled was concerning. A man arrived without any communicated ETA, knocked several times while we were getting ready, and eventually let himself into the house. None of us were informed when he would arrive, and he was not in uniform—just carrying what appeared to be a can of bug spray. It felt incredibly unsafe knowing a stranger had access to the door code and could enter while our belongings were inside. The ant problem also was disgusting. Covering the nightstands and kitchen counters even after wiping down severely times. The listing also advertised a golf cart and bikes, but neither was available. When we asked, we were told they were not included, despite being referenced twice.”airbnb

“House was as described and fit our multi-family needs with separate bedrooms and bathrooms. Pool and Big Chill are very close and easy to walk to. However, finding beach access was not so easy. We went to Deer Lake State Park about 1 mile away. Golf cart was nice to have but needed charging when we arrived so was unusable the first day.”airbnb

“Beautiful beachfront location, but condo & management fell short of expectations. Positives: the location and beachfront views are excellent & included daily beach chair service was a great perk. Overall experience felt like “Spirit Airlines” of vacation rentals - a property management company seemingly focused on the bare min while charging premium beach vacation prices. Too many overlooked details & issues for us to recommend spending money at this location with others to choose from. A few examples: -No coffee filter basket or filters were provided, making the coffee maker unusable the 1st morning. -BOTH lamps in the second bedroom weren’t just broken — they were shattered, with sharp ceramic shards left bedside. Impossible to miss for cleaning/turnover crew. -Also a used bathing suit liner stuck to the wall in 2nd bedroom in plain sight -no hair dryer in main bedroom -no beach towels provided Management offered to come “fix” issues I notified of, but these shouldn’t be to start”airbnb

“Pros: What really sets this place apart is the location and the views. It’s a few steps from the beach, which we really loved, and the complementary umbrellas and chairs (2 each) were a nice amenity. And we also liked how spacious the condo was. Cons: The condo is in need of a lot of TLC. Furniture looks worn out. Place is not as clean as expected. The host is a company, so they’re not very helpful and slow to respond. The place lacked basic amenities like coffee filters and beach towels. There’s also the fact that the condo is 3 stories high, be expected to climb a lot of stairs, even to go down to the beach. In conclusion: I loved the location and easy access to the beach but given that sadly the cons outweigh the pros, I think next time I come to vacation in this area I will look for another place to stay.”airbnb

“Stains on beds, dirty floors, pubic hairs on shampoo area in guest bathroom. For this price look around several other listings in much better shape. I let them know and asked if they want to compensate for this horrible stay and all they reply is that they have a “professional company come out and clean prior to each rental” obviously false since I have the pictures that show otherwise. It’s a shame I can’t post them here. Also master bedroom mattress is caved in the middle.”airbnb

“Happy Days was a good value overall: very conveniently located, easy 5-8 minute walk to the beach, looked like the photos and worked well for five guests. Seating in the living room is a little limited, as is dining. Kitchen was stocked for basic cooking, but those that plan to make most of their meals in will likely be frustrated. Some of the amenities in the listing or confirmation message were missing: beach wagon, chairs, towels; kitchen basics like salt & pepper, oil; laundry detergent pods. I tried reaching out to the management company twice (email and phone) to find out if chairs were included, but never got a response. The other review available mentioned the dirty floors, and that was true for us too - the place was tidy, but not CLEAN. A good value and a great location.”airbnb

“Pros: Excellent location. Walk to private beach in two minutes. Can't beat it. Cons: All can be addressed with investment by the owner/host, but this place needs a lot of work... It's just dirty; crumbs all over the house, many fruit flies. Needs furniture; there are no dressers, all clothes go on shelves in closets, only a few small lamps most rooms lit by bright overhead lights. Cheap linens; rough towels, thin blankets, one sleeping pillow per person. Broken stuff; hose to wash sandy feet was broken, garbage disposal was broken (host did fix ... three days after alerting to water backing up and smell from sink). Only one room looks over the water; living room has a nice view, but that's it. The master bedroom that looks over the water is locked by the owners and inaccessible. This should be disclosed in our opinion as we'd have rented elsewhere for the price. In short: a great location, but this place really needs a makeover. We hope this honest review motivates.”airbnb
