Manager Review

Coastal Carolina Vacations

Coastal Carolina Vacations's guest rating of 4.73 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

Enjoyable stay. Enough rooms to comfortably accomodate our group of 10. Family room/kitchen is a nice open format. Somewhat walkable to beach but would advise the short drive to numerous public parking options.

This property is conveniently located near the beach, but it sits on a busy road, making it very noisy. The walls are extremely thin. You can easily hear conversations from neighboring units. The cleanliness was disappointing. The linens were dirty, and the blankets had residual blood and makeup stains. The elevator broke down during our stay, and my mom and sister were trapped inside for 20 minutes! Management did not respond until after I called the fire department for assistance, when they arrived the men seemed to be more concerned about the elevator itself than the well-being of my mom and sister. Not the woman manager, she was good. This place was missing basic essentials such as soap, conditioner, and even simple kitchen staples like salt. Overall, this property is average at best. The male members of management were unprofessional, and allowing guests to use an elevator that does not function properly is irresponsible and raises serious safety concerns.

The unit is not the cleanest. Kitchen cabinets had spills on them, couch cushions need a cleaning at a minimum, or replacement. Listing was unclear as to what is provided. Some bathrooms had a roll of toilet paper and soap, others did not. Additional hand and bath towels were provided upon request. Location is great and a good selection of beach furniture is included.

Unfortunately lots of things were unacceptable. The a/c blew which was miserable. Units were supplied but did not cool except a few degrees so the room temp was 90 degrees. The deck door handle would fall off in your hand, the curtain rod in the master bedroom would fall on you if you tried to move the curtains to access the deck, the shower head in the master would soak the floor if you didn't hold the curtain, the front bathroom pocket door does not lock, the filter on the fridge was red and needed replacing. The pool handle to get in was very loose and one of the ladders was broken and would cut you. There were so many problems that I feel we overpaid immensely. We are still very upset and disappointed about the trip and how much we paid for a condo with nothing but problems. I would never stay again

Great little house for a weekend getaway. Watch out for the late check-in and make sure you bring your own beach and bath towels since the ones they provide are not very nice.

We were very disappointed in the overall condition of the house, especially for the price and the misleading photos. Badly needs some reinvestment of proceeds, and a deep clean on top of that. Everything from screens with holes in them, to rotten woodwork outside, to a BBQ grill that probably hasn't worked in years, and so on. It's clear that basic maintenance is being ignored. For example, the tree limbs out side bang against the house in heaving winds, making it impossible to sleep in the upstairs bedroom. And it is downright CRUEL to leave out a video game console that children can see, only to find out that there's no chargers for the remotes. Our boy literally cried over that. And, by the way, there's no way that railing on the top deck is safe. Anyway, my opinion of Costal Caroline Vacation is as low as it gets. I'll be sure to tell my friends.

Lovely house right on the sand. In fact sand was so soft, made it difficult to park and walk around the house. House as advertised - small, quaint, simple. Immediate beach access out the door - you could hear the waves all night. Discouraged that someone came and stole the rented chairs we arranged before we arrived. No resolution to that issue yet. Was very uncomfortable with all the people accessing the beach right through the driveway for the house itself. Could hear people walking by the house all night.

Nice airbnb! Nice hot top, very nice location. Only issue was sent the wrong wifi information first night and didn’t get a response until the next morning (couldn’t use my laptop) but other than that no complaints.

Loved Outer Banks! Wonderful location! Would never stay with Coastal Carolina Vacations again. Many other choices. After 2 days of multiple cars getting stuck in sand getting to our parking spots—- I asked CCV to find me another parking space. They suggested I park in the local Holiday Inn parking lot. I told them great. Then I asked if the Holiday Inn gave them permission to have me park there…I didn’t want to get towed. They said no, I was at my own risk. They offered to come dig me out when I got stuck - not a good option for me. I was then told I needed to have a 4 wheel drive car. I do. And still got stuck anyway along with neighbors. I’m a little perplexed that with CCV managing dozens of properties in the area they wouldn’t find a single parking space for me. Outer Banks— 10 out of 10 had a great time despite them.
