Coastal Breeze Vacation Rentals

Coastal Breeze Vacation Rentals's guest rating of 4.29 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

Extremely disappointing and stressful experience. The property was not as advertised and was clearly not ready or safe for guests. The house was dirty, the bathrooms were unclean, the air conditioning was not functioning properly, and the pool — one of the main reasons we booked this property — was unavailable due to repairs that were never disclosed before arrival. This situation was especially difficult because our autistic son was looking forward to the pool as the main activity during this family trip. The overall condition of the property made it impossible for us to stay there comfortably or safely, and we had to leave almost immediately and pay for alternative accommodations for our family. Despite all of this, management only offered to refund one night, which is completely unacceptable considering the severity of the issues. I am still demanding a full refund for this reservation. Very disappointing experience, poor communication, and an unacceptable way of handling guests.

Unfortunately, this property was extremely disappointing and nothing like it was described online. There was a strong musty odor throughout the unit, the beds were very uncomfortable, and the pillows were extremely cheap and unsupportive. The second bedroom was poorly furnished with no TV, no furniture, and a makeshift closet that could not even fit standard hangers, forcing us to share the single closet and dresser. The listing advertised a pool, but the pool does not belong to this property and is fenced off with the neighboring property. The outdoor area was also poorly maintained, with trash scattered around and no real yard space to enjoy. Parking became a major issue as there is only one spot, which was taken on our final night. When we questioned it, we were told it was “first come, first serve” and instructed to find parking elsewhere despite still having an active reservation. Overall, the listing felt very misleading and not worth the price.

We were very disappointed with our stay at this Airbnb. The first night that we attempted to access the property the pin code we were provided didn’t work. I made several attempts to contact them via phone, email and message and no one responded. Luckily the side door was unlocked so we were able to get it. I contacted the hosts again in the morning to notify of the issue. I was sent back a video of someone accessing the lock, clearly with a different code. I asked them to verify the pin code again, and they confirmed the original code was still valid. After a full day out and about, we returned to the house and once again the code did not work and now the hosts locked the side door so we were unable to get it. After over an hours with Airbnb and the property company, the gave us a new code and it worked. In addition to all our issues accessing the house the pool was disgusting, green and unswimmable. I would not recommend this property to anyone. Stressful and frustrating.

I want to first state that I have stayed in over 50 airbnbs and this is the first negative review I have left. Upon arrival the back sliding glass door would not lock. This was before we had attempted to use the couch that we left in its designated spot. Maintenance did fix this the following day, stating that it needed a small adjustment and a screw was added. We did stay the first night with the door unlocked. It’s a safety concern regardless, but we were traveling with a toddler. We were also unable to use the pool during our stay because when we arrived it was green and cloudy. We were told it had been maintenanced, but based on the condition we never felt comfortable using it. I inquired about a first responders discount and was told it would be applied after check in and that was never credited to my account. Very unhappy with customer service after checkout to further discuss our concerns. Host did not compensate us in any regards, but Airbnb assisted in resolution.

Good place. The complaints would be loud traffic, difficult to park and not block the sidewalk. The highest complaint would be the neighbors cat kept trying to attack our small dog.

The space itself was beautiful—great pool/hot tub, location. Tons to do in the area. Only real (fairly large) issue was the downstairs had not been cleaned after last guest (urine in un-flushed toilet and on seat, dirty towels, bed obviously used, crumbs on floor near couch, etc. Messaged host around 5:30pm (upon check in) and didn’t hear back until 9am next day—leaving bedroom and bathroom unusable until cleaners came around 3pm (almost 24 hrs after check in). I ended up cleaning the dried urine off the toilet seat myself so we could have a second bathroom before cleaners came. A pretty big inconvenience given the number of guests needing beds (and bathrooms).

The property matched the listing photos and is in a convenient location near the beach, which we appreciated. However, there were several oversights that impacted our stay. The pool was not maintained upon arrival, and we had to clean it ourselves before using it. Additionally, a number of basic items were missing—there was an ironing board but no iron, plates but no silverware, cookware without utensils, and a broom without a dustpan. While the pool itself was enjoyable once cleaned, we also encountered a cockroach inside the home, which was concerning. Overall, the stay was okay, but given the price point, it did not feel like a good value. Unfortunately, we would not choose to stay here again.

Was WAYYYY smaller than what the photos entailed and the entire place was old and broken down, the shower was rusted, doors dented in, floorboards cracked… and not to mention the bed had hair in it and the towels were stained and gross. We had to immediately find a new place to stay. As it was way too small (and gross) to spend a week there with myself, my husband and my five year old son. I am thankful for AirBnB taking matters into their own hands and refunding me for this mess. I highly recommend looking for something else if you’re interested in this place…

This property needs work. The exterior stairs felt unsafe. The wood is old and soft. The windows air conditioners were dirty and moldy. Bathrooms need updating and there were ants on the bathroom counter. Everything was very cheaply done as far as maintenance and furnishings. The neighborhood was safe and convenient.
