CHC Vacation Rentals

“I rented this place for 3 of my employees and one of there vehicles got broken into there tool box. Took all his tools. The place is ok for temporary stay but its hard to come back to an area where you got your stuff broken into. Other then that my guys enjoyed there stay and liked the pool area. And the other issue they don’t close the gates so anyone can walk in the area. My guys mention the place had everything they needed to make there meals and clean and surprisingly no odor.”

“It was a space we were able to stay in, a little bit dirty and the closet shelf collapsed but it the 3 beds pictured so could have been worse.”

“Find somewhere else to stay. The room and linens had a bad odor, bathtub had dark stains, I went through a scavenger hunt to register myself, my vehicle and download an app to be able to operate the gate that’s stuck open. People sitting shirtless smoking and drinking. Not a good atmosphere, not a good room.”

“For the price, it got the job done. The space is smaller than expected.”

“This place is not what you want if you are a single female, dirty on the outside, spider webs on the inside unit and suspicious men walking around. Just not a face place for single females staying alone”

“Felt unsafe, high drug presence, cockroaches, sketchy area to put it politely. If the host/ AirBnB didn’t make it awkward/ impossible to check out early I would have done. It’s a shame pictures cannot be shared here.”

“We didn't feel safe trying to find the right unit at night. The security gate was broken, and it was not clear which apartment we were supposed to go to, or even which building. We left and found a hotel. CHC wouldn't refund our payment even though we never stayed there and described the problem. We even took pictures! STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU DON'T STAY HERE!”

“We did not feel safe at this property, it was dirty and run down, the check in process was arduous and we immediately left to find a hotel nearby. I was told they would refund me "no problem" then they pivoted and told me to contact air bnb that they could not just "send me the refund" though thats how air bnb works, so they lied as well. I would not recommend this place to anyone traveling to Austin for an enjoyable stay. Its more a place for the destitute to find some shelter, but this property should not be offered on air bnb! Beware!”

“I previously used Airbnb often and truly enjoyed my trips and hosting, however, after over a decade, this has been the worst, due to the fact that there are illegal activities going on in the rooms surrounding- illicit drug dealing and rampant prostitution which the rooms surrounding the unit partake. The room next door a pimp sits out and awaits clients and the ladies. During the night between 11pm and 3am they bang at the door and have domestic disputes at the front of the unit. These are some of the on-going activities that surround this unit that may not become apparent until after a few days, heads up! The dog area is infested swarming with poop from what looks like years. The gate system is often left open or broken in to, it’s also common to see people climb the fence in the night - mostly congregating in the rooms surrounding this unit. Unfortunately, it did not seem the illegal activities were taken seriously by the host, and Airbnb continue to be unresponsive to a resolution.”
