Castle Hali'i Kai at Waikoloa

Castle Hali'i Kai at Waikoloa's guest rating of 4.65 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

We really enjoyed our time here and wish it could have been longer. The unit was clean, comfortable, quiet, and had everything we needed. Shopping and restaurants were nearby. And A-bay! The location overall was convenient for exploring the west side of the island. We would definitely stay here again. And stay longer!

Area was beautiful, awesome views. Too expensive and too many rules, made it hard to enjoy a get away vacation and family time. Rude people around the area that had no aloha spirit. Roaches in kitchen and dishwasher. Beds felt old.

Overall it was a good stay but there were a few things that weren’t great. Pros: Beautiful complex Very nice space Friendly front desk/ staff Cons: 1. * major * the listing says sleeps 8 and states there are 4 beds but two of those beds are TWIN beds. No idea how you could sleep 8 in this space, with a king bed, queen bed, and 2 twin beds. The sofa is not a sleeper, it does come with a pack n play for a baby. 2. Cleanliness was just okay: - The bedding (comforter and pillow shams) were visibly dirty with saliva stains in one of the rooms - there were a TON of tiny ants in the kitchen area. The big island in general is notorious for this so I don’t blame them necessarily but just FYI 3. The no cancel policy is strict. We tried to cancel due to a severe storm where the governor warned people not to travel unnecessarily, but were denied a refund. Because of this we decided to come anyway and were glad we did, but FYI.
