“Our family vacation was fun at this beach house we had a very short walk to beach, the view was amazing. The home was very comfortable and clean. Although there was last minute amenities that didn't work upon arrival, the hot tub jets and the elevator. Host did provide a discount but these were amenities we REALLY wanted to be working on our stay, especially the elevator. Otherwise, rooms were very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Would love to return back but would want to make sure everything is functioning before arriving.”airbnb

“Overall: this is a great place, and we’re all glad we came. The price was fair, the quality was good, and we enjoyed ourselves! The best parts: unobstructed view of the beach, fantastic balconies and patio furniture, quiet area, great house for a group, strong A/C, good appliances, and a fantastic host. The good parts: nice breeze most days, free ferry to Galveston, the kitchen was stocked fairly well, the double trash cans in the kitchen helped, the 3 trash receptacles outside were sufficient, and The Big Store is very close and has tons of things you need and want. Beds were fairly comfortable.. The parts that could have been better: mosquito treatment needed (swarms!!), the flooring is rotted in the 3rd story entryway and the master shower leaks onto the floor (rotting there, too) and the bunk room entryway was rotted. Water from 3rd floor dripped through into bunk room on 2nd floor. Beach houses are rough to maintain, and this kind of thing is somewhat normal.”airbnb

“Property management is terrible. The house is great but communication was awful. Would come back to the city but wouldn’t book with this management”airbnb

“Great house and great hosts! It is away from a lot of the busy beach people on bolivar. We absolutely loved it! It’s like you have your own private Beach!”airbnb

“I would strongly recommend avoiding this Airbnb. Within 30 minutes of arriving, the homeowner—who lives directly next door—began harassing my family. The homes are extremely close, so there’s absolutely no privacy. She stayed outside monitoring us, and at 3 a.m. was taking pictures/videos of my children while they were going in and out of the house and questioning them because she falsely assumed we were having a party. We were not. On top of that, the home has an excessive amount of cameras everywhere, making it feel very uncomfortable and invasive. What should have been a relaxing stay turned into a stressful, hostile, and very unwelcoming experience. I would never stay here again. This experience felt targeted, discriminatory, and incredibly unwelcoming. No guest should ever feel harassed, watched, or unsafe during their st”airbnb

“We stayed at this beach house for my daughter’s prom weekend, and unfortunately it did not meet expectations. The main reason we chose this property was the jacuzzi, and it was broken the entire stay. That was a huge disappointment, especially since it was supposed to be a special occasion. On top of that, the clothes dryer was also not working, which made things inconvenient for a beach trip where you’re constantly dealing with wet towels and clothes. The house itself was decent, but these issues really impacted our experience. If those amenities had been working, it would have made a big difference. I’d recommend confirming everything is in working order before booking.”airbnb

“Injuries, Bedbugs and worst of all NO COFFEE! Location is 5 Star, cleanliness, maintenance, safety and thoughtfulness to a great guest experience are 1 star! Before even arriving, we almost bailed due to the MILE LONG MESSAGES and disclaimers! ANNOYING! 1st day 2 guests fell flat on their face coming out of the door to the deck! There are no warning signs of the approximate 6-8" height difference. If not familiar with the property, expect an accident here. The two adults and an infant that stayed in the mid bedroom had Dr confirmed bed bugs. The return air vent in the kitchen ceiling is black, Dirty vacuum and maintenance supplys in the bedroom closet near the nightstand. Pots, pans utensils look so used they were pulled out of the garbage. Wall hangings and lamp shades crooked. BBQ out of gas, dirty and bottom of the line junk. For the price, this should have been an upper-to-high end experience. Except for the view and location, it is in needs of improvement.”airbnb

“We thought the house was in Galveston but it's a ferry ride away on Bolivar Peninsula. Sometimes the wait for the ferry was up to 2 hours so it made for a very long day to get to and from the house. The night we arrived our flights were delayed so we were getting to the house around 10:30 or 11: 00pm in a huge rain and wind storm, only to find we had been given the wrong gate code. One of the gates had blown down and someone had put a chain across it and a huge wooden sign that said "closed use other gate". My sons were able to move the big sign and because they're tall unhook the chain so we could drive in otherwise we would have had to find a hotel at 11:00 at night. That was a very disappointing start to our stay. The ceiling leaked in several places and we had to put bowls on the floor to catch the drips. Other than that, the house was beautiful and the kitchen was very well stocked.”airbnb
