“The property was beautiful , well maintained and clean. The water smelled like bleach, the bedroom needed room darkening shades. It was very bright because there is a lit up parking lot next to it. The beach access is nice, great places to eat. We were given the wrong unit number and they were quick to respond. Please be very aware of their cancellation policy. We had an issue with it that went unresolved.”

“This is definitely and older condo. It was clean and had plenty of amenities. It’s just not updated and as most listings, a little smaller than it appeared in the photos (especially the shower) but it was very comfortable and a great location! And I had no issues with check in or communication from the renter. I wouldn’t really call them complaints but my only things to point out was there was a slightly musty smell due to being an older building and the shower control was hard to operate. Overall, it was worth the price for the location and comfort.”

“If you are booking purely for the location and the scenery, this house is hard to beat. The property sits in a superb spot and offers an absolutely amazing view of the Belleair bridge. Getting to house was easy and checkin was smooth too. House itself needs a ton of attention and shows a significant lack of maintenance. Echoing the warnings of previous guests, we could not get the hot tub to work at all as it kept shutting down. Worse, the AC turned off every single night, making the house unbearably hot. We had to continuously chase the host to figure out the AC issue, and the co-host took so long to respond that their eventual suggestions were no longer helpful by the time we received them. Ultimately, this is a beautiful location, but you should be prepared for broken amenities and frustrating communication if you choose to book.”

“Unfortunately, our experience at this property was very disappointing. The biggest issue was a significant termite infestation. Throughout our stay, we were waking up with bites but did not discover the source until the final day when we began packing and cleaning before checkout. Once we found one of the insects on a shirt and knew what to look for, we started finding them in beds, clothing, shoes, luggage, and personal belongings. When we moved the couch to investigate further, we found dozens of termites underneath and behind it. We immediately contacted the host and their response was that they have someone spray weekly and that it was “especially bad right now.” This was very concerning because it indicated the issue was already known. We spent the last day of our vacation washing and inspecting our belongings to avoid bringing the infestation home with us. “Do not stay here!!! This was the worst Airbnb experience I ever had, and I've traveled a lot with Airbnb, and generally really like it. But this place is a slumlord situation. The unit was literally crawling with bugs when I arrived, especially the bathroom, even in the towels and toilet paper. The whole place was also covered in dead bugs. It clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time, with a layer of grime in everything. As other reviews mentioned, there is a strong mold smell as well. They have done absolutely nothing to care for this property, especially since other reviews mention these problems so they're not new. The host also refused to respond to me raising these issues. I got Airbnb officially involved and did get a refund, but seriously, spare yourself this place. I trusted the positive reviews and gave it a chance, but now believe they must be fake or something!”

“Overall, we had a mixed experience. The location was the highlight—beautiful water views and only a 5-minute walk to the beach, which was very convenient. The room sizes were also great. Unfortunately, cleanliness was a major issue. The floors were very dirty—my 1-year-old’s hands, knees, and feet turned black from crawling, and our feet did as well. There were dirty dishes in the cabinets, dust on vents, and splatter under the kitchen sink. I contacted the host, and while they offered cleaners, I declined due to timing and didn’t hear further. Basic items were missing (no trash bags, no vacuum, no broom and only 3 washcloths), and the WiFi didn’t work. The listing said info was under the TV, but it wasn’t. Responses were slow, and after trying their suggestions, we didn’t hear back. Great location, but cleanliness and communication need improvement.”

“We had a nice stay overall and really appreciated the location. The house was easy to get to, and being just steps from the beach with such a beautiful view was definitely the highlight. We also loved having a full house instead of a condo or hotel, it felt more relaxing and private. That said, there were a few downsides. The bathroom setup lacked privacy, with a sliding fogged glass door that has gaps on both sides and a half-glass shower wall. The listing also advertised a washer and dryer in the unit, but they were actually coin-operated and located across the parking lot, which was inconvenient. Additionally, the listing mentioned a beach swing under the villa, but there wasn’t one. We were also uncomfortable arriving late at night to find the patio door left unlocked, which was unsettling after a long day of travel. Overall, it’s a great spot for the location and views, but clearer listing details and a few improvements would make the experience much better.”

“There were several issues with the twin beds. The box springs were insanely loud and my children couldn’t sleep. The blinds in that second bedroom were also broken. The TV in the master bedroom seems to be broken and the close captioning was on all the time and in the middle of the screen. I called the rental, told them the issues, John called me back, and I told him all of the details. I’ve heard nothing since even though he offered a refund. I guess it’s just a little disappointing.”
