“The place itself was very nice and cozy, however the host did not send us our code on time and we ended up not getting our code until 10 hours past check in time, making us wait outside until the host was able to be contacted after calling and then involving air bnb. The place is definitely 5 stars but communication and check in was definitely rough.”

“Unfortunately, our experience at this property was very disappointing. The biggest issue was a significant termite infestation. Throughout our stay, we were waking up with bites but did not discover the source until the final day when we began packing and cleaning before checkout. Once we found one of the insects on a shirt and knew what to look for, we started finding them in beds, clothing, shoes, luggage, and personal belongings. When we moved the couch to investigate further, we found dozens of termites underneath and behind it. We immediately contacted the host and their response was that they have someone spray weekly and that it was “especially bad right now.” This was very concerning because it indicated the issue was already known. We spent the last day of our vacation washing and inspecting our belongings to avoid bringing the infestation home with us. “Do not stay here!!! This was the worst Airbnb experience I ever had, and I've traveled a lot with Airbnb, and generally really like it. But this place is a slumlord situation. The unit was literally crawling with bugs when I arrived, especially the bathroom, even in the towels and toilet paper. The whole place was also covered in dead bugs. It clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time, with a layer of grime in everything. As other reviews mentioned, there is a strong mold smell as well. They have done absolutely nothing to care for this property, especially since other reviews mention these problems so they're not new. The host also refused to respond to me raising these issues. I got Airbnb officially involved and did get a refund, but seriously, spare yourself this place. I trusted the positive reviews and gave it a chance, but now believe they must be fake or something!”

“The worst experience ever renting with Airbnb. When we arrived, the WiFi info given wasn’t accurate. I messaged the host, and they responded the next morning with accurate server and password. Went to wash dishes, the sink had barely a trickle of water, so we couldn’t use it, so I went to load the dishwasher. After it was loaded, it wouldn’t run or even turn on. I contacted the host; they sent a maintenance man, who did a temporary fix on the sink - which broke that night -but couldn’t get a a new faucet and couldn’t get parts for the dishwasher. We asked that he take a look at the pool, and he said that it needs chlorine, so he added it. There were 3 ripped screen panels over the pool and Riley patio furniture. The couch had rips everywhere, a dining room chair was broken, there wasn’t a gaming system as advertised, and there was a disgustingly dirty huge wall fish tank. The wig kept going out, the host was unresponsive, and I spent numerous hours and days conversing W/airbnb”

“Overall, we had a mixed experience. The location was the highlight—beautiful water views and only a 5-minute walk to the beach, which was very convenient. The room sizes were also great. Unfortunately, cleanliness was a major issue. The floors were very dirty—my 1-year-old’s hands, knees, and feet turned black from crawling, and our feet did as well. There were dirty dishes in the cabinets, dust on vents, and splatter under the kitchen sink. I contacted the host, and while they offered cleaners, I declined due to timing and didn’t hear further. Basic items were missing (no trash bags, no vacuum, no broom and only 3 washcloths), and the WiFi didn’t work. The listing said info was under the TV, but it wasn’t. Responses were slow, and after trying their suggestions, we didn’t hear back. Great location, but cleanliness and communication need improvement.”

“The house was very clean but that was the only thing that was appreciated honestly. Starting with not getting any info about check in, was given the wrong code to get into the house, and a oh by the way the dishwasher doesnt work. There were no welcome instructions at all which was disappointing because we could not figure out half of the electric. The "fish tank" was absolutely disgusting.The screens outside were ripped and missing. But the kicker was the freezing pool. When i booked this house it was advertised with a heated pool. No mention that the heater broke prior to our stay. Very very upset because we paid a lot-a lot- of money for this house.”

“Me and a couple friends stayed here for our spring break vacation, the pictures show a hot tub, when we got there the hot tub was dirty and empty. We were very disappointed about that considering it’s included in the pictures. I reached out to the Airbnb host and got no help with the hot tub and no money back. The living room light didn’t work so we had to use the tv and hallway light to see at night. Would not recommend, very unprofessional and misleading.”

“This was so disappointing! Hot take but was the main thing that had me choose this rental and it was disgusting! Trash left behind in the kitchen, MOLD in the bathroom, that’s so dangerous. Roof is tarped, bra inserts left in the drawer. Fans were broken, and was told they can be “tricky”. It wasn’t worth the money.”
