Carolina Shores Vacation Rentals

Carolina Shores Vacation Rentals's guest rating of 4.38 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

The house was large and spacious. Comfortable beds, enough space for the whole family. The pool and canal were amazing. The house was great, but does need a few minor repairs, but that didn’t stop us from having a good time! We spent most of the time out at the beach, by the pool, or out shopping. I would stay here again for the price

I will not book on Airbnb through another rental company again. I expected to get check in instructions and details on the Airbnb app, but it was not included there. Check in was not communicated. Extra $250 for linens not communicated. Found dead and alive roaches. Dusty and rusty house, not well maintained. Old cooking pans that are not useable. Pool that is dirty everyday due to mismanaged landscaping that litters in pool. The neighborhood is great, but this is probably the least maintained house in the area.

This house is beautiful and in a great location. It is a very short walk to the beach (2 beach accesses within a minute walk). The house was clean and in great shape. The pool and hot tub were excellent. Easily enough space for the whole family. This place is listed through Airbnb but also is rented through a second rental company. They are hard to get ahold of and are slow to respond through Airbnb. There is a receptionist at their office but we were ignored for over a week by the owner when we had questions about the lease that you have to sign outside of Airbnb.

Fire alarms beeping all night Air conditioning doesn’t work well on the top floor and needs a very deep clean Could be great, but needs a lot of maintenance and updating.

The location is a few blocks from the beach making it walkable. That’s the best part of this house. The deck is new. The kitchen has been renovated. The bathrooms need updating. You have to pick up and drop off keys from the property mgmt company. There are no supplies provided. Sheets are on the bed, but there are no bath towels or bath mat, no paper towels, no toilet paper, no dish or hand soap, no sponge for the kitchen dishes. And no extra trash bags besides the ones in the trash can. We brought most of these items with us or bought it once we arrived, but it’s inconvenient. I would not stay here again because of that.

House was well appointed & a short, easy walk to the beach. It has a nice, relaxing pool area & pretty decorations through the house. Comfortable living area. The bed on top floor was uncomfortable & could use replacing. There is a loose porch railing that needs to be repaired and seems dangerous. A guest alerted property mgmt ~month prior to our stay, but it still isn’t fixed. When we arrived, some beds didn’t have sheets, towels were not laid out throughout house, and there was dirty laundry downstairs. This was addressed the following day. The biggest reason we won’t be back is the house next door had a group partying so much that they were throwing up off the porch for hours and one person was passed out on the porch in his own vomit. They were also smoking weed from a bong on the porch. They left broken glass beer bottles on the walk to the beach. We learned the house is not available for rent but instead owned by an LLC. This would make me worried that this group could return.

This was a great place to stay on our OBX trip! Basketball hoop and hot tub were a big plus! Could use updated mattress and couches. Super convenient walk to the beach! Overall great laid back place to stay!

The vacation got off to a bad start with check in. Air BNB directed us to the house for check in and we assumed it was like most check ins where we would get a code at the house to access the keys and enter. We learned that Carolina Shores required guests to report to their office (30 minutes each way from the house with lots of traffic) to get the keys. This was incredibly stressful and inconvenient after a 10 hour drive. The house itself was average but on the small side. For the price, we expected it to be much larger. Four bedrooms and only 2 bathrooms. Very small kitchen that accommodated 1 person at a time. Small living room area that did not fit the number of guests any four bedroom home. The house and bedding needed cleaning by us when we arrived. And a rough walk to the beach if you have anything more than a bag. On the positives, the pool was fantastic and by far the best part of the house. The 2 decks were very nice with shade from mature trees.

Great house location. Floors were filthy. Ice maker in refrigerator didn’t work. Found a dirty diaper under my bed. Pool wasn’t cleaned midweek like stated .

Our experience was OK. Pros- House had plenty of room, plenty of seating and parking. Was a very quiet neighborhood. Pool was a nice size. Cons- check-in was 4pm we arrive at 6pm cleaning crew showed up at 630pm. Pool was dirty lots of leaves and bugs in pool. Pool cleaners came on Tuesday to clean the pool. Master bedroom was nice other than no AC. Had to go buy a fan for the room to keep it cool. The first night we had a power outage that fried the WIFI modem. We went back and forth with the reality company for 4 days until we had to change our plans to meet the internet company at the house to get it fixed Because the reality company didnt have any one they could send to let them in.Finally had internet restored Wednesday evening around 6pm. 4 days without internet, television and some had AT&T with no cell service. Some of these issues are just bad luck but I believe they could have been handled better
