Capital City Beauty's guest rating of 4.59 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“The biggest thing is a couple of the rules and furniture / linens very basic. First rule please park in driveway, neighbor’s get upset if you park in the street. No problem with parking in the driveway but for two of the three days neighbors had five cars for a four car driveway so the neighbors are parked in front of the house. Also owners remark the count the pictures in the house. Does someone really rent a VRBO and steal the pictures? I guess but decor is very basic. House was clean and Roseville has lots of parks, shopping and restaurants close by. Four bedroom house but only one TV in living room. Beds were comfortable but biggest is maybe a queen. The pictures show all lighter colors which makes rooms look brighter, all bedspreads were darker colors and towels had seen their best days. Back yard is large but nothing special. House needs some maintenance issues. We usually stay with family close by or a hotel, but since we wanted an extra bedroom this w”airbnb

“Staying at Elizabeth’s is like you never left home. Thats if your home is crawling with spiders, moths, and gnats. And when something breaks? YOU FIX IT! If you find yourself going after partners who don’t respond bc you like the chase? Elizabeth is the perfect host for you! Have you ever wondered what Lava feels like? Just hop into the shower because the only way to get subpar water pressure at best is when it’s at burn your skin off degrees. The batteries in the door lock died on day 2 and she had us opening it and flipping the batteries. When that didn’t work she sent a handyman to drop off batteries for us when we weren’t home to get them, and didn’t notify us the time he would be coming by. She expected us to switch the batteries ourselves. this home is in dire need of updates. If there was an option to give negative stars I would be spam clicking it. I would not allow anyone I know to stay in this house in this neighborhood, unless they like the sound of police sirens.”airbnb

“House was in a decent neighborhood. Good location restaurants and stores nearby. The house is a little dated but good for a working crew. The dishes did have to be cleaned before you used them and the pillows didn’t make you happy once you peeled the linen upon departure. But all around a decent place.”airbnb

“I stayed at this home and unfortunately had a few issues during my visit. The refrigerator was not working, which made it difficult to store food, and the patio door would not lock. This made me feel unsafe during my stay. I hope these concerns can be addressed for future guests, as the home itself has potential.”airbnb

“The location was great for us, but the listing photos were not accurate. The coffee table is now very worn with stains and scratches, and the kitchen table was covered with a tablecloth instead of matching the listing photos. Check-in was frustrating due to incorrect door code instructions and no immediate response from the host. We eventually found a different code in earlier messages and were able to get in. There was a significant ant problem (we were told to buy spray and get reimbursed), only one chair on the patio( so could not enjoy the nice weather),loose shower controls that made temperature hard to manage, and the yard needed upkeep.”airbnb

“DO NOT stay at this property. Our experience with this host was extremely disappointing. From the moment we arrived, the home was in unacceptable condition and did not match the listing. Dining chairs, rug, and couches were heavily stained, dirty, and had an unpleasant odor. The refrigerator was dented, the microwave was broken, and both bathroom sinks clogged immediately. The master bathroom door was loose and even fell on my feet. Floors throughout the home were very dirty. The outdoor area was neglected, messy, and had no seating there was even a beer can in the yard. To make matters worse, the host is now attempting to charge me for cleaning and damages that were already present. I documented everything with 47 photos. We caused no damage and left the home in better condition. We only booked because pets were allowed but were charged an unexpected $120 fee. Communication was excessive, and someone knocked at 11 PM, which felt unsafe. We only stay 3 people 2 adults and one teenager”airbnb

“A "handyman" entered the code in the front door and entered the house while I was in the shower with my girlfriend. This middle aged Indian man claimed he was there to fix a bathroom light...The host, property manager, "handyman," or even POLICE can't just walk through your front door unexpected and unannounced. He claimed to be at the wrong address and apparently he meant to go to another Airbnb to service the light in their bathroom. Very dangerous "mistake" and extremely creepy and unsettling experience. The house itself is nowhere near clean enough to justify the price. The bed is stained, there are dirty toilet scrubbers just left out in the bathroom, constant bugs everywhere in the house, especially ants that seem impossible to keep out of their kitchen because of an unsealed crack in a window & foul smell of rodent. DON'T STAY HERE UNLESS YOU ARE COMFORTABLE WITH A 40 YEAR OLD INDIAN MAN WALKING THROUGH YOUR FRONT DOOR WHILE YOU SHOWER.”airbnb

“Home is decent and king bed was comfortable I would not recommend any rentals hosted by this person. We arrived at the home an hour early, despite no one being there we were not allowed early check in. Litter was around home front and back yard. The home is very basic, no extras, linens low quality, soap, shampoo, and conditioners were in name brand bottles but were refilled with inferior product. Bare minimum in the kitchen to prepare food. Knives dull, pans worn some rusted, no food storage supplies, zero seasonings. Home is in a bit of a rough neighborhood/area. Home is listed as pet friendly. It is not. I disclosed my pet and paid the non refundable pet deposit. Since checkout the host is charging me an additional $160 on top of regular cleaning fee and pet deposit for dog hair. My dog only had access to 3 rooms, host says deep cleaning was needed due to excessive dog hair I stay at air Bnb with my dog often and have never had an issue My dog is a lab mix so sheds, but not excessive”airbnb
