Cabins in the Clouds Cabin Rentals

Cabins in the Clouds Cabin Rentals's guest rating of 4.75 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“I’ll start with the pros Walt’s place was easy to find navigation got us to the place with no issues. The cabin is secluded which we absolutely loved, there is no Mountain View but nevertheless has nice scenery. It’s about a 20 minute drive to pigeon forge but only about 7 minutes to a dollar general which helped out tremendously since we came during a super busy weekend. Cons we had a major issue with the front door lock it was not functional. When contacting the host they were very slow to respond. 30 Minutes after check in time where we provided with an alternative way of getting in with a key we had to get from the lock box. A little urgency would have made all the difference.”airbnb

“Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the Airbnb. There were used contact lenses left on the nightstand, mouse droppings found inside, and a noticeable amount of dirt throughout the property. There was also hair left in the shower. These are things we would expect to be addressed during a thorough cleaning before guests arrive. The location and property itself had potential, but the cleanliness issues made our stay less comfortable than expected. I hope the host takes these concerns seriously and improves the cleaning and inspection process for future guests.”airbnb

“Very beautiful place I definitely don’t think it was cleaned before my family arrived hot tub was dirty and ice cold pet hair was everywhere”airbnb

“This location was shown on the AirBNB map on the listing as up a road near the Gatlinburg Welcome center, between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. That is not the location, it is past the strip in downtown, and past the Alamo restaurant. This made getting around to Pigeon Forge and into the National Park more difficult on the busy holiday weekend since we thought we were booking on the other side. Also, the beds in 2 of the bedrooms were listed as queen size and were actually full size. We made it work, but was not comfortable for one of the groups sharing a bed. Other than that, it was a good stay, and it being handicap accessible was the most important feature.”airbnb

“Overall, nice place to stay, however some of the pictures don't describe it fully, like the steps going down to the lake for someone who is somewhat handicap. Wheelchair accessible getting into, except the master bedroom, wood on the door sticks out too far for my husband's wheelchair to go through completely however we still managed. There was some mouse feces in a couple cabinets in the kitchen so it could have been cleaned better.”airbnb

“No Mountain View! Just heads up! Gravel road path is kinda sketchy! Pool access is 10 mins away! Only came with 1 trash bag. So bring plenty of own supplies if you plan to stay here for long periods. Rule was during summer could not turn down thermostat below 75!! It was hot in the cabin during summer even with fans! Not a fan of not being able to control a thermostat to our liking. When arrived key pad did not work batteries were dead, so door was already unlocked. So had to use Manuel keys in lock box after asking for them vs. having extra batteries on hand at cabin.”airbnb

“We enjoyed our short stay. If you stay here for more than a weekend bring a pizza pan or cookie sheet, no baking pans. We understand this day and time cameras are a must have but at the same time, we did not enjoy a camera watching each move all around the house, specifically the one at the hot tub, we get the back door security but directly above the hot tub? We also have cameras and know when they light up someone is watching live...we did not like that part but the home was cozy and fit our weekend needs.”airbnb

“Pros: close to everything, not on the side of a mountain like everywhere else in PF Cons: unit was dirty upon arrival (including bedding which we had to wash), trash strewn about outside, next to a parking lot with large trucks which were active in the middle of the night, dryer is venting into a sock (you read that correctly) causing bathroom/bedrooms to be humid and gross. Property management is pretty low communication - takes hours to get back to you. I asked for $100 back since we had to do our own cleaning, they sent me $63.95? Without any sort of conversation on why that amount was decided. Not the worst place I’ve ever stayed, but worth probably about half the price per night they charge.”airbnb

“Be prepared!! Other than that, it was beautiful. Apron arrival it seemed that only the places that you’d sit or lay on the inside were dusted, everything else had to be wiped. The views from the balcony were amazing. But it seemed that they didn’t have anything for you to be comfortable really. There was a waffle bar that looked like it hadn’t been touched in years. I hate to be critical but i would have appreciated alittle more since you pay a certain price to stay there. Thank you so much for the experience anyways!!”airbnb

“The location was good, and the Airbnb technically had all listed amenities. The fire pit area was nice. That said, cleanliness and maintenance were major issues. The water was yellow/brown and smelled strongly of sulfur or pennies. When flushing the toilet, the water came back brown. We’re familiar with well water, but this was beyond normal and appeared to be a serious maintenance issue. The hot tub was dirty, and when the jets were turned on, milky bubbles formed. At night, we heard what sounded like a rodent moving around in the walls or ceiling. After speaking to the host, he was going to get pest control to come out to the property. We never heard back regarding this. Under the furniture was very dirty, with old food and items present. The kitchen floors were uneven, lifting in places, and slippery. The refrigerator’s water filter was visibly disgusting and had remnants consistent with a bug infestation on the outside. Because of these issues, we would not stay here again.”airbnb
