Cabin Rentals of Helen
4.70Visit website
Cabin Rentals of Helen's guest rating of 4.70 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Beautiful space, for what we paid I wasn’t expecting a mouse in the home, lightbulbs out, dead and alive spiders/roaches, & damp carpets underneath the window A/C unit. I do understand it is a mountainous home, but I believe pest control and maintenance would be useful. For what we paid - we did not expect these inconveniences.”airbnb

“I’ve never left a bad review, but here’s what you need to know going in as of May 2026: 1) they will send you a request for another fee after your non-refundable booking is complete “for the pool” 2) the driveway is incredibly steep and sketchy. 4WD vehicle access only. (Uber Eats driver literally couldn’t get to us, left our food on side of the road half mile down) 3) beds are VERY hard and old. 4) the entire place is super dated. 5) the downstairs bathroom smells like old dog pee. I do NOT recommend this place at all. May 2026”airbnb

“This cabin is in a beautifully secluded location, right on a peaceful creek. The cabin itself was clean and cute, but there is absolutely zero privacy inside. There are no bedrooms, doors or walls other than the bathrooms. Will work for a couple or a single person, but families or groups not so much. You can hear everything that is going on in the bottom level up top in the loft and vice versa. Tiny kitchen so if you are one that cooks on vacation this is not the place for you. There are ALOT of stairs, including a tiny spiral one so keep that in mind. It has a large deck with a hot tub which is nice, however it is not covered so if the weather is bad, it is unusable. The host tried to shake us down days after our stay, 1st $300 for a "missing" coffee pot, we never saw or used, then another $300 for excessive cigarette smoke. WE DO NOT SMOKE! I am allergic to cigs and smoke so this is a ridiculous claim. If you rent from this company TAKE PICS when you leave.”airbnb

“The place is perfect for two people with great location besides welcome center. Lot of parking space on the property. The Listing however does mention it has iron board and iron but that did not exist. Also the cleaning wasn't done up to the mark and there were stains in bathroom and toilet. Also there wasn't any kettle for hot water and we were not sure if the coffee mugs were microwave friendly or not. The dinning chairs were not cleaned at all. So overall cleaning was not done properly. The location is safe and perfect and walkable to the downtown.”airbnb

“Great place tucked away in Helen. Everyone had a bathroom of their own to get ready for the wedding. the visible spaces were clean but there were pills in the carpet, empty bottles in the bushes by the hot tub, wet paint on the side table in one bedroom that when we set our stuff down it got on it and transferred to the bed. I think the cleaning company is the bigger issue. The place was great and in a convenient location. Enough room for 8 adults comfortably”airbnb

“Pros: Perfectly located on the water. Comfortable bed. Great location for walking around downtown. Cons: Communication with the host is lacking, greatly. There is only one spot available to park, regardless of them asking for all plate numbers of the party prior to arrival. When asked about the parking for the third time after our arrival, around 4:30 pm, I received an answer the next day saying I should use the after hours number and they hope we figured it out! There is no overnight parking in downtown Helen so we had to shuffle our car around every 12 hrs to a diff spot. Not a deal breaker, but info about this situation should have been communicated when first inquiring or listed in the description for the space. Helen WILL TOW YOU so be careful where you park. The other major thing to note is you can hear clearly through the walls/ceiling/floors.....we could detail the conversation going on from our neighbors the whole time. This means they could hear ours as well. :O”airbnb

“They cabin was nice but it was quite dirty and clearly had not been cleaned for some time prior to our arrival(dead flies on the towels, cobwebs with dead spiders in them, dirty surfaces and towels). We ended up cleaning it ourselves which took away from the time we had to enjoy Helen (washing all towels etc). One of the beds advertised as full is a single. The beds are cheap and made with a chip board like material which was crumbling and subsequently leg broke. Thankfully No one was injured. Overall the experience was disappointing but we tried not to let it ruin our trip.”airbnb

“The place was as described, but I sadly do have a couple complaints. We arrived and noticed the hot tub was still heating and didn’t seem like it would be ready for a while. My girlfriend decided to take a bath in the jacuzzi tub instead and when she activated the jets, a good bit of black debris came out. The hot tub not being ready was slightly frustrating but the jacuzzi was an easy pivot. However, both not being ready for use is quite frustrating. These were two amenities that really attracted us to your property but it does not seem like we will get to use them for half of our scheduled stay. On top of that, the dishwasher was full of dishes from the last guests. The place was still nice, and the trails and land behind were beautiful. We also noticed a few cameras on site. Wouldn’t have minded except we knew someone was watching us because they accidentally activated one of the mics on one of the cameras and we could hear them watch us. So we left early. It made us super uncomfy!”airbnb

“Cabin Rentals is a management company for the homeowner. We were there during a heavy snow. Our vehicles were trapped due to the steep slope of the driveway. Cabin Rentals did not come to help clear the driveway and only offered a 25% discount for another night as a solution. We had to have people pick us up at the top of the driveway and leave our vehicles and belongings in our car for an additional day. Multiple communication attempts to get help and never a solution but to wait for the snow and ice to melt naturally. The road to the cabin was drivable. The only issue was the driveway. Not happy with cabin Rentals. The house and property are lovely just don’t count on Cabin Rentals for help when you’re trapped. Another day wasn’t possible because we weren’t physically prepared with food for 9 people for another day.”airbnb

“The gas grill needed work. After dismantling burners, cleaning, and removing rust deposits burner flame for cooking was functional. Brought and used own propane tank because on-site propane had bad odor.”airbnb
