Manager Review

Bryant Real Estate

Bryant Real Estate's guest rating of 4.55 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

It was a nice unit in a great location. We liked the proximity to the beach and elevator access was really helpful. The furniture was a bit more worn out than the photos revealed. And we were surprised to learn 2 days before the trip that we had to bring shampoo, soap, laundry and dishwasher detergent, hangers, paper towels, etc. It was a last minute scramble.

Great stay, exactly what we expected. There was only one garbage bag and only a couple of rolls of toilet paper which was disappointing for how much the stay is and how nice it was.

Worst stay we’ve had in NC. Room was extremely hot on arrival & wall AC didn’t work. Maintenance said 1 central thermostat controlled multiple rooms from another unit & claimed they’d replace our AC, but never did. Once other guests arrived & left doors open, our room became unbearable. It was cooler outside than inside. Smoke from ppl smoking outside was pulled into our room through HVAC even w/ door shut. Water smelled like rotten eggs so badly we had to run sink/shower 30-45 mins before using. Furniture was unstable, room outdated, rust on walls from AC, damaged flooring, WiFi/TV never worked. Cups/silverware had to be washed in bathroom sink. Staff acted uninterested, no manager ever contacted us despite promises. Absolutely not worth what we paid. Would’ve gladly spent more to stay elsewhere. Do NOT recommend until owner actually fixes & maintains this property. Outside looked better than inside. I could go on and give more detail but I ran out of space to type. Find better place!

The view was amazing, lots to do and see at walking distance. The hosts were amazing and very friendly. A few bumps in the road with the condo and definitely needs a few updates to accommodate disabled people. Other than that it was a great place and we will be back

When they (real estate co) ask for pymt it’s via email, I don’t check my emails that often! When they offer military discount (real estate co.) it’s only for the portion they get from Airbnb not the total rent, which was less than half, it’s misleading. Kitchen was very nice. Location is very convenient. House and interior is clean and nicely decorated. Shower was great. Backyard is very helpful with pets but very expensive pet fee. Outside house could use some sprucing up but appliances and interior of house and location were very nice

We enjoyed staying at Retreat Yo Self. Very pleased with the overall property especially since it is pet friendly. Plenty of towels, kitchen that had everything to cook meals, a grill to cook on, bikes to ride and decks to enjoy the ocean breeze. We are a family of grown kids and each couple had their own space to enjoy. The elevator was a bonus to help get luggage to each floor. The washer, dryer and extra fridge was perfect to allow us to go home with clean clothes and to put extra food and drinks in the extra fridge. There were unexpected pet supplies, cleaning supplies, laundry items etc to help you feel like you are home away from home. Will be looking forward to booking this home again.

We stayed at a Bryant Real Estate Group property in Kure Beach. The home was beautiful, comfortable, well located, and had a nicely stocked kitchen. Unfortunately, several issues made the stay frustrating. Communication was very slow, often taking 8+ hours or days for responses. At arrival, the property had no water for four hours. The BBQ propane tank was empty with no backup, and after waiting for help, we bought propane ourselves. Other issues included a malfunctioning dryer, broken vacuum, low pool water level that was never addressed, and minimal starter supplies. While management eventually acknowledged some concerns and later offered a partial refund and propane reimbursement, the delayed responses and unresolved maintenance issues made the property feel poorly managed for the price. Overall, the house itself was lovely, but the maintenance and communication problems significantly impacted our stay.

This stay had multiple issues, the most serious being a major safety concern. At checkout, we found multiple hypodermic needles under the couch. This is a significant health and safety hazard and indicates the unit was not properly cleaned or inspected prior to our arrival. Although we discovered this at the end of our stay, it means we were unknowingly in a space with a potential biohazard the entire time. There were also several other issues. The listing advertises free parking, but only one parking pass is provided, with additional vehicles costing $25/day. This is disclosed deep in the listing and was not clearly communicated upfront, which made things unnecessarily difficult. The host was not willing to work with us on this. Additionally, the fridge repeatedly lost power due to an overloaded GFI outlet, which impacted our ability to store food. The management company refunded the cleaning fee, but declined any additional compensation despite the severity of the safety issue.
