Manager Review

Brightwild

Brightwild's guest rating of 4.71 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

Unfortunately, our experience was not good. First, at the bar, the bartender added a 30% tip to my bill without asking or clearly informing me. I only noticed it afterward. She had offered me an extra beer after I complained about an issue, but that does not justify automatically adding a 30% gratuity without my authorization. I found this very dishonest and uncomfortable. Regarding the property itself, it appears to have previously operated as a hotel and is now being used for short-term rentals. We stayed during a NASCAR weekend, so I understand it was a particularly busy time, but the environment was not appropriate for a family. There was a lot of noise late at night, people arriving at all hours, and even fights or arguments in the hallways. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this property for families during major events or party weekends.

The place is located on a perfect spot but here’s a few reasons why I would never book this place again. -the host was responding until we arrived after we arrived and tried to communicate with them that’s when the issue started , they never responded to calls or texts I ended up going to Airbnb directly trying to communicate with the host. -as soon as we arrived and walked in the place was extremely dirty with stains everywhere on beds , curtains and when I walked in the bathroom there was poop smeared on the shower curtain so that’s when I started trying to call the host with no response , so my suggestion is to change cleaning company and to the host they need to act a more professional way and at least respond to the costumers if they want to continue to make business.

The location is convenient and the view is beautiful. Our check-in process was terrible. The cleaners were still there, which made us checkin 2 hours later because of the poor communication between the owner and cleaning crew. The management company was not empathetic with our late checkin, was slow to respond. The blinds were dirty and broken up in the front bedroom with bunkbeds, stained living room furniture. We were greeted with a roach crawling on the kitchen counter. The smell in the master bathroom was horrible. We were displeased with our stay. The only reason we stayed is because of the great view and proximity to the beach.

House was clean just what the pics showed. Pool, marina nice with watching boats come in and out. Negatives:Terrible WiFi. Could not watch TV without all the buffering that kept happening. Location getting to property was not so nice. Was quiet once you reached house. Not as convenient as we would have liked. Master bed was super noisy when you moved. No water pressure in bathroom.

My review would have been 4 or 5 stars except that I was not prepared for the Grand Maloney Hotel not being a Hotel but rather an AirBnB. Pros: Location, Location, Location easy walks to everything you want in Key West Clean the rooms Bed and Pillows were comfortable. Cons: No secure place to store luggage No water or ice available No way to get a clean towel housekeeping did not come during our stay. The "pool" is a hot tub. I don't mind the size but why have the heat on in Florida in the Summer? Overall, yes, I could see staying there again but I would be prepared for the fact that this hotel is an AirBnB not a hotel.

Had to stay two nights with no hot water. Advised management there was a problem. They sent “maintenance” that said “you have to let water run longer” before heats. Two days of cold showers. Horrible.

This was an extremely disappointing experience. The listing was clearly advertised as a 3-bedroom property, but when we arrived at 10 PM for check-in, we discovered it only had 2 bedrooms. I then spent over 30 minutes on the phone with the host/property management being repeatedly told it was “always advertised as a 2-bedroom,” despite the fact that I had photo and video proof showing the listing advertised 3 bedrooms. Because we were traveling with a group and could not make the sleeping arrangements work, I had to urgently book an additional hotel room in Hyde Park at my own expense, which cost over $600 for two nights. I simply requested reimbursement for the unexpected cost caused by the inaccurate listing, but instead they refused and only offered a 30% refund. What made the experience worse was the way the situation was handled. Rather than taking accountability for the misleading listing, communication became defensive and unhelpful, and I was even threatened with being reported

It takes some nerve to charge over $300 a night for this place. Fortunately, we only paid for one night, and that was enough. First off, check-out at 4 p.m. is way too late. The password to get in didn’t work, it was sweltering hot, we wanted to rest, and we couldn’t get in. After a lot of effort and trying other passwords, we finally got in, only to realize that the TV didn’t work. There was no privacy; the curtains don’t cover all the windows, so any weirdo on the street can see everything going on inside. The Wi-Fi is terrible, the air conditioner is way too loud, the water flows very, very slowly, and it takes forever for the hot water to come on. Anyway, thank goodness it was only one night. It’s outrageous to charge more than $300 USD

Greta location, nice place. But pool and spa heater not working and no effort to make sure it was fixed for our enjoyment. Otherwise, the place was as advertised.

Unfortunately, we booked this place only to find out when we got to town. The company had double booked this unit and currently somebody was staying in it and we got check-in instructions with door code. After arriving in Daytona at 9 o’clock at night I got a phone call to tell me they accidentally booked an occupied unit. Luckily I was able to find a house close by then I was charged for the room and had to dispute it with my bank. would not recommend using this company
