“Great location and very nice home. Everything was nice and clean, worked properly. The elevator was a major plus, but needs cleaning (has visible mold in it). The only downfall was that the twin bed in one room is unusable and not suitable for sleeping on (it’s a very old mattress that had metal springs in it). Definitely plan on no more than four people, as the twin mattress is a hazard with the metal in it. Reached out to the company, they came and looked at it the following day, but nothing was done about it and there was no further communication on how it would be resolved.”

“A17 at Southwinds was just steps away from the beach and had great views of the ocean from the balcony. We loved the location. We just didn’t love walking into an unserviced property after a 10 hour drive with two young children. We were ready to unpack and chill-out, but instead had to kill time for a few hours while waiting for a cleaning crew to show up and clean the condo….and it wasn’t even cleaned all that well in the end. (“Pssst! The condo could benefit from a good deep cleaning and maintenance on a few things….oh- and make sure the smoke detectors are actually installed and not sitting out on a dresser opened with a dead battery laying next to it.) I communicated all my concerns over the phone with several ladies from Bluewater Vacation Rentals the day of check in…..so, this review should come to no surprise.”

“Great location and very clean .. minimal amenities provided ie.. with cost of rental should provide more things like a few coffee pods ,paper towels etc Parking under building was not available the entire stay due to other owners taking up entire space called several times during stay but wasn't resolved .”

“The house was beautiful. The pool was a great addition! The walk to the beach was a little longer than we thought. There was not a whole lot included for the price we paid. No hand soap, dish soap, toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels. There were no beach chairs or umbrellas. A few small sand toys and 2 carts were provided. So if you’re flying, good luck!”

“We had paid for the extra package to have a golf cart and bikes at the property when we arrived, when we got there the golf cart was not working and all of the bike tires were flat. I reached out to the company, they were responsive but they sent someone out who didn’t fix the cart, asked us to look up what the error meant and still didn’t blow up the tires. The house itself was nice and was what was advertised, in a good location, and the people I spoke to on the phone were very kind”

“The place was perfect for our family of 3 to enjoy Emerald Isle. We enjoyed the character of the house that was bright and well kept. Our biggest issue which has nothing to do with the house is having to deal with a management company outside of the Airbnb platform, which meant we had to sign more paperwork, communicate via email, and deal with long, not custom friendly and sometimes inconsistent documents. This just soured us on the vacation experience.”

“Pros: 1. The location is amazing, 5 min walk to the beach down a safe road. 2. It was clean. But i have a really hard time giving them kudos for being clean. This is baseline expectation. Do you walk in to a restaurant and think "well, i'd come back because at least its clean." No, you don't. 3. Outdoor shower Because that is baseline expectations. However the amenities were not great: 1. There was not hand soap in ANY bathroom. ...no Hand soap? is that a joke? 2. There was NO dish soap so i could wash my dishes. There is a dishwasher 3. There was no laundry soap yet there is a washing machine...okie, not useful 4. There were no trash bags. So...do i just throw away food in the bin and then...the bin is full of nasty sticky wet food? 5. No paper towels. So cleaning up is much harder 6. The front door was literally so sticky my g/f could NOT Open or Close it. Not great for safety or emergencies. 7. ONLY Full beds. So, they are small. 8. Outside porch was covered in webs and spiders”

“Nice place. Thermostat never stayed where we put it. Temperature always jumped up to what they had it set for. Too hot inside most of the time.”

“Overall, we had a nice time. Small hiccup after we checked in. We were not familiar with “palmetto bugs” and noticed some inside. Spent some time playing phone tag with after hours numbers to finally speak to someone. -Traveling with two small kids. The space is not entirely “kid proofed” but we made it work and they had a blast too -Location to the beach was not entirely clear. Rental not directly on the beach - ocean view NOT ocean front! So walking is required. We had to walk down the street for walk-in access. Stairs or a hill required either way (I would not consider it to be handicap accessible). -Location to local things could not have been better. Quiet neighborhood. Close to all the things we wanted to do. Easy drive in and out. -Rental provided linens and towels, but limited extra blankets (main bedroom only supplied with VERY THIN blanket for bed). -Beach chairs were available to use. We noticed fishing poles too but did not use”

“We walked in at check in and walked right out. It smelled horrible and clearly had a bug issue. I don’t know why anyone would consider this an okay home to use as a rental. We switched immediately to another home/location (not through the same rental agency) and loved it there. Run. Run very far and fast away from this place.🤢The smell. I have requested a full refund but of course no one will get back to me. I feel like I won’t see a dime returned. Bluewater, make this right.”
