Montreat is a wonderful community and a lovely location for cool morning walks, peaceful reflections, challenging hiking, and an interesting history. If you are looking for nightlife, cute shops, and great places to eat, Black Mountain is right down the road. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and could not have been more accommodating. We would not hesitate to stay there again.”

“This was a perfect space for our family! Everything is on one floor and has a beautiful, big yard and drive - it is a very peaceful area. My mom loved all the touches that made it easier for her - fold down handles by the front door and toilet and grab bars in the shower in the primary en suite. The 2nd bathroom had a walk in shower and 2 sinks giving us each our own space. The living area was spacious and comfortable with plenty of room and seating for us all. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked and I don't say this lightly coming from a family who enjoys cooking and having all the kitchen accessories - they seemed to have everything and then some. The common reaction from everyone in our family is that everything was thought of - from bowls of little candy put out to USB chargers by the bedside to plenty of towels to a whole binder of details about the property and area. We appreciated their responsiveness and being proactive. Def give Stony Knob Cafe a try - delish!”

“Perfectly located, rustic cabin surrounded by canopy trees and a rushing creek. Plenty of wildlife to observe nearby, including a black bear we saw on our trip! Everything in the listing is as described, and the hosts provided common items to get our stay started! The back porch swing is a must for relaxation! Close to highways and downtown Asheville, but tucked away in its own little nook. Highly recommend!”
