Ben's Beach Homes
4.65Visit website
Ben's Beach Homes's guest rating of 4.65 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Was not what was expected. Duplex was not a stand alone property. Pool was a broken tub of standing water. Beds were squeaky and too soft.”airbnb

“We’ve been coming to Destin/PCB for family and friends trips for the past 6 years, and this was by far one of the best Airbnbs we’ve stayed at. The upstairs layout was extremely convenient — two bedrooms on the left with their own bathroom, and two bedrooms on the right with another bathroom and master bedroom on first floor. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax comfortably. Ben was an amazing host and even allowed us to check in early, which we really appreciated. We’ll definitely be back again next year!”airbnb

“This stay was amazing! There was a few things that we had found, but nothing that would ever interfere with our stay! There was not a Blackstone grill like in the photos, and we had prepared to cook meals on it that we could not cook on the small charcoal grill that was there. But we accommodated perfectly. Also, there was a black substance dripping from the downstairs bathroom sink in the hallway. We took a rag with bleach and wiped it but it had scared the kiddos a little bit. Overall, the stay was great! I would definitely book with Ben again!”airbnb

“The home needs maintenance. Kitchen cabinet doors are falling apart. The dishwasher does not work well. The mattress in the bunk room needs replaced as you sink down into it and there was a massive brown stain visible on it. The towels needed washed upon arrival as they smelled used and dirty. The hot tub had dirt in it. Half the curtain rod was missing in the bunk room and the curtain that faces the road was hanging.”airbnb

“Great scenery, great for a big family, and close to the ocean. My only recommendations would be beach chairs, beach towels and more cooking utensils. Ben was great at allowing us to check in early and allowed for us to stay another night. It was an overall great experience.”airbnb

“Great place to stay! There was 9 of us and it worked perfect. Small things like soft spots in the floor but overall it was perfect!!”airbnb

“We stayed here this past weekend for my cousin’s bachelorette trip and overall had a good experience. The house had plenty of space for our group of five girls and one guy, with two extra queen beds we didn’t need. The location was great—about a 20-minute drive to most restaurants and activities we had planned, and a few bars were only 5–10 minutes away. The pool was small, but we didn’t use it since we spent most of our time enjoying the beach views. There were a few things that could be improved. We could have used more basic supplies like toilet paper and trash bags for a group our size. Communication was also frustrating, as I sent several messages asking if beach umbrellas or chairs were provided and didn’t receive a response for about a week (not provided). The biggest concern was cleanliness when we arrived. Several comforters and pillowcases had visible makeup or dirt, so we ended up washing bedding. There was also trash under my bed and the floors appeared unswept and sticky.”airbnb

“We recently stayed at this Airbnb in Florida for 2 nights, and the experience was very disappointing. The host was charging us extra for every basic request, including pool heating the details of which was not mentioned clearly and again the tone used in the message was not really welcoming. The place was also poorly stocked — there was not enough kitchen paper towel, toilet paper, trash bags, or basic toiletries for 2 night stay, so we had to buy everything ourselves. On checkout day, we requested we will checkout at 11 am instead of 10:00 AM since we had kids and most places have 11 am checkout. Whatever may be the reason for denial, the tone used by property owner was very rude, unwanted and unprofessional. We were informed we will be charged $100 per hour late checkout fee, even though this was never mentioned anywhere in the listing. The lack of supplies, unexpected charges, and the host’s rude behavior made our stay stressful. This is not what we expected from airbnb property.”airbnb
