“Nice house. Convenient to downtown Durango. We enjoyed our stay.”

“Our Townhouse was very nice. We liked the location a little ways out of Durango, but still close enough to go into Durango when we wanted to. Our unit did not have air conditioning and we happened to stay during a warm period. Even with closing the unit up during the day and opening windows and turning on fans in the evevning, the upstairs bedrooms stayed too warm until the middle of the night. Neither of the patio door upstairs or on the main floor had screens, so we did not feel comfortable leaving them open. The management was understanding, but there really wasn't anything they could do. It was a nice place, but consider if its right for you if the weather could be hot and you are a cool sleeper.”

“This house is well described. Our family loved the open kitchen and easy access to the creek and back patio. No AC but wasn't a problem. All rooms have several windows and with them open air flowed and kept the house cool. The only con I would say are the beds. Not too comfortable and really hard.”

“Place was ok, cozy. Bed was super comfortable! But the apartment need some updates! And they need to clean and dust before each guest. Also, the ad is deceiving, no washer or dryer in the unit and WiFi when available was spotty and not reliable.”

“We had a great time at this house, and we especially loved the chipping and putting area, the hot tub, and the ping pong! Plenty of space for our group of 10.”

“We had a great stay at this location but unfortunately some of the amenities were not available and was one of the main reasons for booking.”

“Wanted to enjoy nature and the lake, but it was difficult to get to lake, and the surrounding acreage was all steep uphill or downhill, so - no nature walks around the barn. Furniture was worn and the mattress was very uncomfortable. There were a crazy amount of light switches with no labeling to help. Highly recommend 4 wheel drive vehicle. On the plus side it was clean and we did enjoy seeing turkeys and deer in the yard. The host was responsive and proactive on road/internet conditions.”

“The house is in a mostly quiet neighborhood. The houses are so close you can hear others from inside. At one point it sounded like the neighbors were in our house even though they were outside of theirs. The communication with the rental company was not the best. One day I received a message saying for a fee I could extend our checkout and then when I called to pay the fee I was told I could not. I sent a message back saying I was told I couldn’t and received a message stating that I could and they would invoice me to pay. The day before our checkout I was told they didn’t get the fee from me and our checkout was not extended even though they had taken the money already. I sent screenshots and didn’t get a response until the morning of checkout that we could extend it after I had already started getting things ready to leave. The air went out once but maintenance was quick and able to fix it. The house was clean and had a lot of room but the company needs to work on their communication”

“Majority of the beds were filthy (hair, dirt, bug and even blood)upon arrival and the host had no extra linens to change the beds nor did they care (til the next day). Our party was up all night laundering and remaking the beds. Although the home is beautiful and fairly new, our party felt that the maintenance of the property as well as the appliances have been neglected and in need of some desperate attention. Some of the issues we faced were a health hazard and others were safety hazards Pink mold on inexpensive plastic shower curtain liner. Plumbing issues with no quick response. Dryer with excessive lint buildup posing a fire hazard. This property felt like a moneymaker for a corporation and not a loved home. Host refused to resolve the issues we encountered and we were forced to utilize AirBNB Support (I’ll give them a 5 star rating) for fair compensation. Seems as if it was built, filled and forgotten. Hope these words help the next potential renters with their selection.”

“Pros: —if you’re looking to be in a remote location, this is for you. —beautiful views —hot tub was comfortable. Cons: —there is definitely a stink bug infestation (as others have mentioned). I think we flushed 30+ over the 4 nights we stayed there. —I called to see if the cabin was ready as we were about an hour early. They wanted me to pay $25 to check in 2 hours early. When I told them we only wanted an extra hour (not 2), the response was, “So, do you want to pay the $25?” —the walls of the master bath were streaked with water stains. A simple coat of paint could go a long way. —dated finishes and cheap furnishings (30 minutes to brew a pot of coffee) —heavy (20+ MPH) winds blew the ground floor doors open despite engaging the lock. —don’t bank on the WiFi working. It’s not just hit & miss, it’s pretty much miss. —this is the first Airbnb that has required me to take out the trash before check out. I haven’t done Airbnb that often, so it could be the norm.”
