Manager Review

Beachwalk Properties

Beachwalk Properties's guest rating of 4.78 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

Great location, minutes from downtown! Mostly worked well for our group. Pretty well stocked for kitchen needs (pots/pans, drinkware etc) which made it easy to cook at home. Comfortable beds. Although the home is fairly new construction the quality just didn’t match the price for us. Also we rented this based on the photo of the bunk room (2 twin size bunks) but when we got there it was a twin/full bunk combo with a trundle. Very disappointing for our kids who were excited to sleep in bunk beds for the first time and expecting to have their own separate bunks.

Me and my husband stayed at Terri’s place for our anniversary. House was nice and the view was spectacular. Check in was pretty easy and the house is 4 min drive away from public beach. Only complaint we have is that they had a locksmith guy showing up at house while we were there and nobody notified us. I was literally getting out of the shower with a towel, while there was a stranger coming into the house. It would’ve been nice to let us know, or maybe schedule your work projects when there’s nobody staying there. We had all of our personal and expensive stuff in the house cause we thought we can feel at home but that wasn’t the case. The amount of money that we paid to stay here and our privacy to be invaded there is absolutely no excuse. We brought this issue to them and their office and still nobody has reached out to us for this matter. Not manager or Terri. Very unprofessional.

The house was great but parking was an ongoing problem. Nasty neighbors insisted we were in their way as we unpacked our cars-thanks for the cordial greeting🙄 The nastiness continued. We rented 2 homes and split up our 8 grandchildren who enjoyed going between them. They found a shortcut through another neighbors yard who proceeded to SCREAM at the children for such a serious offense. I would not recommend this house to families with children who are interested in easy passage to the beach Very few beach items provided

Upon checking in the first thing I did was go to the bathroom. I noticed hairs on the floor. Then saw there was food/stains on walls and counter sides in kitchen. It looked like someone had done a quick wipe off of the counter without scrubbing the food crusted on it. One of the master bath sinks was clogged. The basement tv (one of only two TVs in the place) kept asking for a code. We asked the management for the code and they had to follow up with the owners. Then the next day we got a message saying the owners were claiming we bought something off their Paramount account which no one had watched. We asked for details and never received a response. The grill was broken, which we didn’t discover until after we’d bought food to grill. The worst part of our stay was our son not sleeping the first night because his bed smelled like pee. Sure enough, there was pee on the mattress that reeked. I have no idea how the cleaning service didn’t smell this when changing the sheets.

House was new and the inside was very clean. Puzzles and games were a wonderful surprise- My only comment was that this was the first time I have stayed in a third party listing. I had to have an app which wasn’t that big of a deal, just one more thing to do. This was also my first stay that had zero basic things like salt and pepper or sugar for coffee. I would stay again just know next time to pack more things for cooking.

The house had many wonderful areas for our group to hang out in. We especially liked the screened in porch with fireplace and TV. The beds were all comfortable despite the pillows not being very substantial. The communication with the honor/management company really made this stay a bit tedious. We had to wait 30 minutes for the cleaning crew to leave and once in we discovered instructions we’re not all in one efficient . Some was in a binder, other information on a page taped to the inside of a cabinet with outdated gate code, other in a flurry of emails, other details through an app I had to download. We had a particular hard time getting down to the beach via the tram and stairs once down there at the beach was very small and very rocky. Overall, would recommend someone to stay here, but the management company definitely has opportunity for improvement.

The property had potential, but unfortunately it didn’t seem very well maintained before our arrival, even going Into the season. Overall, the stay was okay, but the cleanliness and maintenance standards could definitely be improved.

The location and views were absolutely amazing. However, we encountered several issues with the downstairs restroom. The shower tub repeatedly backed up with sewage, and the toilet gurgled and bubbled on multiple occasions, making it difficult to use and slowing our group’s ability to get ready in a timely manner. We contacted the management company to report the problem, but were told we should have used their maintenance line, despite our attempts to reach them via direct text and through the Airbnb app, where we also shared videos of the issue. Rather than taking an accommodating approach, the response made it seem as though we were at fault for not using the “correct” communication channel, even though we made multiple efforts to notify them. Ultimately, the amenities did not meet expectations for the price paid, and the handling of the situation was frustrating. I would recommend proceeding with caution when considering this property.

Booked the place 2 months out and immediately was bombarded with several calls a day from the company asking to fill out the guest form which needed names and ages of our 13 person group. For what? Once that was done any reply on the airbnb chat was a lengthy wait if we got a response at all. They use a 3rd party website that just makes things more complicated. Check in instructions etc should all be just given on the airbnb app? House lacked basic amenities like a bottle of shampoo in any of the 3 bathrooms. No coffee grounds etc.

Power went out and the rental company didn’t reach out and then provided no support when contacted. Otherwise a beautiful property and stay but disappointing customer service
